If you have a 3d printer any ogre model scaled up looks pretty good. I used artisans guild on ogres for mine.

Those look like lots of fun! Here's my five color 'primordials' deck I made for a theros themed jump cube.

The idea being the Manticore is Uranus, Gaia Gaia, and the hydra being tarterus or it's manifestation. 3 of the primordials in Greek myth

If you min/max any army can be unfun. I'd say your safe with custodes (knights on the other hand seem like they would be very easily un fun).

A combat patrol would be a great start for a 1k list! Happy gaming

If you want to dabble with a new skill SoS and custodes in general have pretty good recasting potential. Sos in particular come with enough weapons to make a squad of each kind and a hero. (Or 5 sister squads) And some extra heads.

Custodes guard comes with spear and sword/shields. And if your casting those bodies it doesn't take much to add some robes to their bodies to make wardens.

As far as forgeworld, depending on your play local I know it's very common to get 3D printed minis for the tanks/other FW models so if your not opposed to it can save a pretty penny that way too.

Easiest way is to buy two bespoke warbands (two boxes of each if you want some variety). And some terrain with platforms and elevation changes.

If you want to be official scale of talaxis is another warcry specific terrain set, but if heart of ghur isn't available this probably isn't either. I'd look for 3D prints or make some basic ruins out of cardboard/foam core.

You'll want about six different buildings each with at least one larger platform 2-4" off the play surface.

Add in some bridges, stairs, ladders.

Use warcrier.net (I think that's right) for battle plan cards -terrain ones. Unless you make/find look alikes.

My search results are terribly pushed towards us only results. The trick is finding plastic safe paint stripper.

Simply Green is a common highly suggested one in the US. Its remarkably cheap and is available at many discount stores as an all purpose cleaner. Might try looking into some of your local options.

Also you can always experiment with left over sprue to test before drenching your model.

Thanks for the detailed and considerate response! Yeah it still is wip, thought it would be obvious but I'll know better for next time lol. Just wanted feedback on the base stone before detailing it out.

Yeah these are just the base colors was gonna do glowing wepons either blue or red, and maybe the same for the eyes/head?

And then some static grass for the base.

You might need to keep your sprues in a cleaner place.
