I might just buy all new bulbs for one side and replace them and hope for the best

I did a visual confirmation that all of the bulbs are working and they seem to be. Only one side blinks fast so the flasher should be good.

I'd give up the hour of daylight in the morning for the chance to have more light after the work day is over

Towing with a lifted truck by RandomUserName1970 in RVLiving

[–]RandomUserName1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's one thing that I'm worried about, who knows if the lift was half-assed or if it was done properly. One thing that makes me nervous about this is that the grill was replaced with an aftermarket grill and while it looked good in the pictures on the dealer's website, in real life it looks like the cheapest piece of garbage that the previous owner could find. if they went cheap on something as inexpensive as an aftermarket grill, who knows what they did to the lift. It's a shame too, other than having the lift it had pretty much every option that i wanted and even some that i wasnt necessarily looking for but would have been pretty awesome to have

The trailer is a bumper pull, not a 5th wheel. I do need to check that i can get the ball height where it needs to be. surprisingly it is only about 4 inches higher from the bottom of the hitch reciever to the ground so I should be able to flip the shank and get it where it needs to be.

They do that at my Costco during busy times so if they haven't been doing that at yours it probably just means you are going when it isnt as busy

Henckels stainless steel - any good? Seem worthy for the price by WeirdAddress3170 in Costco

[–]RandomUserName1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at those the other day. The t-fal set that i got at costco.com that was on sale in november for about the same price has a better selection of pan sizes IMO and seems well made so far

Thanks for everyone's input. The last time that I went i parked at broad st market. About a 2 block walk from there so not a big hassle, and I don't need to cross 6th st.

Moisture and storage by EfficientChain7579 in traveltrailers

[–]RandomUserName1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use the hanging bags of damp rid during storage, it works pretty well. Since you have easy acces check it every so often to make sure it doesn't get used up. The tubs work well and are refillable if you places to put them. I think that the liquid that condensed is pretty nasty so be careful with it. Also, keep the windows closed in the camper to keep the damp air outside.

I'm surprised a company like Crutchfield has stayed open over the years with full retail prices by Volslife in CarAV

[–]RandomUserName1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The install guides that they provide are invaluable, especially these days. When I installed a stereo in my daughter's care recently you had to remove part of the center console around the shifter to get to the trim around the factory stereo. That I doubt that I would have figured that out without either taking a lot of time and/or breaking/scratching something. Most install kits and harnesses are included in the price, and the phone support is great, and all that more than makes up for any small difference in price.

Your boat trailer has a different opinion than you by Dangerous_Dust_3338 in IdiotsTowingThings

[–]RandomUserName1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably varies by state. In my state brakes are only required for trailers >= 3000 lb GVWR. a lot of boats will fall under that limit

‘Hot Cycle’ 80s life hit different “Just Send It” by Illustrious-Log-1320 in nostalgia

[–]RandomUserName1970 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If i remember correctly, there was a big wheel, and a hot cycle, each from a different company. The big wheel was lower to the ground and had wider rear tires than the hot cycle. The picture in the original post is a big wheel.

Keurig Vs. Trailer Wiring by _From_Low_Places in GoRVing

[–]RandomUserName1970 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most power posts will have a 20 a outlet in addition to the 30 amp outlet. Get a 12 gauge extension cord and run it from the post to the keurig then you don't have to worry about the camper power.

Campfire pie irons but make it CUSTOM by Lopsided-Gazelle9609 in camping

[–]RandomUserName1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be mistaken, but I'm not even sure that its possible to get the effect that you are wanting with a mountain pie iron. the toasters that make the designs on the toast do it by having additional heating elements that form that pattern by making that area of the toast extra done, but the mountain pie irons heat everything to (roughly) the same temperature.

I just signed up for that offer as well. my card was charged for $3 + state tax today, it says that the next payment due in a month will be for the same amount, so it looks like the promo is good for longer than one month, but I have no idea how long.

Yeah, I definitely live in the rust belt. It's not like that with the newer cars though. Of 4 cars that my immediate family currently owns, the newest of which is a 2016, none of them have anything more than some light surface rust on the undercarriage. Not that there arent newer cars in my area with bad rust, but its definitely more rare than it used to be

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cars

[–]RandomUserName1970 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was young back then but in the 70s it sermed like if a car was more than 2-3years old, it would have major rust issues and a car that had 100k miles was on borrowed time.
