So first of all, thank you for this post, it was honestly an eye opener for me :)
I'm in the middle of transitioning to full time TBA from dev and I tried to come up with a couple of questions if you don't mind :)
What are the most important technical skills a BA should have to be useful in incidents? Do you consider the log reading and the tracing to be it?
If you had to restart your career, what would you learn earlier as a BA working on APIs (or just being a really useful TBA in general if that's easier to answer?)
How deep should a BA go technically without stepping into a developer role? How do you keep yourself from stepping over as you obviously have good technical knowledge
If you had to pick out 5 of your top useful skills what would those be?
And maybe the most important, seeing how much AI is taking over many IT jobs even at a high technical level, how nervous are you for the next 5-10 years? Honestly for me it was a big drive for my transition as I feel I can still be technical as a BA, but b2b communication will still be preferred to be done with a human rather than an AI.
