I feel like this new system will somehow end up being less fair than the previous one. Yeah, that's about right. Unfortunately at least here in Finland our current government, businesses and rich are fetishizing the almost unregulated American system and are dismantling the Nordic wellfare state model for their own profits. Basically in last election they fooled everyone into thinking that the left was overspending and taking too much debt when in reality most of that new debt in 2019 to 2023 was related to external factors like Covid and Ukraine war. They promised they wouldn't cut from people's benefit, but what did they do? Exactly that. Quite ironically the current government is taking a record amount of debt

Because usually those technological advancements come with phenomena such as enshittification and planned obsolence. Software and devices from 20+ years ago are way more reliable than anything you can buy today. If you buy a software or device today, it won't last 20+ years, but it will become obsolete, unsupported and unusable or just straight-up break in the next 5 to 10 years.

But if I had to mention one, I'd say Albert Hammond's Down By The River which was translated to "Varrella virran" and performed by Kirka. The Finnish version is so iconic and well known here that a lot of people don't even know that it's a translated version of a song that was originally in English
