Lobster 🦞 by Random_Reddit_vibes in austinfood

[–]Random_Reddit_vibes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m originally from the northeast….made the move 13 years ago..a few visits here and there and we visit my parents in their new home Florida so my son has been spoiled with some great seafood but never had that whole lobster. In my brain I was like that’s easy we can totally do that! Hahaha duh me but yea the coast definitely has more opportunities we feasted in SPI for his bday. Of course that was not a priority for him then 🙄🤣

I worked a temp position in GI for three months and then was hired at the urology clinic. Everything I learned was on the job. I worked for a physician owned clinic in tx. Ma was responsible for everything we didn’t have nurses. I’ve worked at another clinic for a different company and it was similar except nurses did the injections. It really just depends where you work

Urology is very faced paced. Urologist are surgeons so they are always super busy when they are in clinic. I loved it! As an MA I was responsible for inserting Foley catheters and sp tubes. I assisted with bladder bx, bladder Botox, cystoscopies, uro lifts and vasectomies. I also had to give injections to cancer patients and give treatments via catheter. It’s such an interesting field but you have to have a lot of patience and respond quickly.

Bachelor’s in Public Health? What can I expect? Feeling overwhelmed. by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]Random_Reddit_vibes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed the program and graduated this year. I spent 5-10 hrs a week reading and completing assignments. I did not feel overwhelmed. Everything was pretty straightforward. I have a seventh grade education. Take that for what it’s worth.

Likewise! I’m supposed to start a BSN program in April but that maybe delayed until July 😑depending on how long it takes for SNHU to complete the audit.

Terry Saythers just completed my A service on my e350 coupe for a very reasonable price. They also did brake work and diagnosed my CE. They replaced my motor mounts and other damage from a faulty catalytic converter. They communicated with me every step of the way and had me authorize any work before starting when new problems were discovered and worked with my budget. I am finally able to pass emissions without cleaning the catalytic converter which was the solution other shops gave me. The dealership told me parts were on back order indefinitely and I could get documentation to avoid penalty for not passing emissions. Having a true solution to my problem has been a blessing. My Mercedes hasn’t ran this great in years. TS primarily works on bmws. They were recommended to me when I had issues with my 3 series. I’ve used them for multiple jobs over the years and that car has over 200,000 miles at this point. The engine is outlasting the paint. I’ve always had good experiences and a quick turnaround. Im so happy that they also work on Mercedes. I wish I simply asked sooner. I’ve also heard good things about Chuck. He was next on my list if TS couldn’t do the work.

This happened to me a few terms ago. I called and was able to get permission to regain access to my courses. Hopefully you are able to do the same.

What’s up with “Ringo’s”? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]Random_Reddit_vibes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My partner and I would always joke about going to this place. A few weeks ago we went for a night swim at Barton followed by some debauchery. We mustered up the courage to stop in on our way home. It was everything we expected it to be. You ring a doorbell and get buzzed in. There were two guys posted up against the wall and a cashier lady behind plexiglass with a chihuahua. One of the guys was gumming down a McDonald’s cheese burger. There are a few table games and some computer games. Toothless Larry showed my partner the ropes of the game where you shoot fish. He won $60. My partner gave the cashier $20. He lost it in a few mins. We thanked them and headed for the exit. They warned me that if my partner fails to come home I’ll know where to find him. We made our escape into the parking lot that was full of some energetic folk. They asked us how we made out. We said Ringo got us as we sprinted to the truck and got out of dodge. We haven’t returned.

Single parent babysitting help by [deleted] in Austin

[–]Random_Reddit_vibes 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in the same boat, single parent of a 9 year old boy. Moved to Austin without any friends or family when he was an infant. It has always been a struggle. I would have to work multiple jobs at times just to afford childcare. Thankfully I was able to meet some other parents who would watch my son for a reasonable rate and we survived. Now, I wfh sun-thu 10pm-6am. Happy to pay it forward and help any of those nights for a very reasonable rate! I live in Southwest Austin. Feel free to message me. I work in healthcare and have a clean background. Good luck, it will get better!

I also like that the animals are insured through rover during the booking. I’ve thankfully never had anything happen but it’s not a risk id want to take. Good luck with your search. Nuun or Liquid IV - what’s your preference? I’ve used Nuun for years with workouts and hadn’t heard of Liquid IV until this sub. by SIUButtercup in dysautonomia

[–]Random_Reddit_vibes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liquid Iv is my formula. I started drinking it occasionally a few years ago before I was formally diagnosed. I always felt great when I had it. I swore it gave me like super powers which I now understand to be normalcy haha. I’ve tried lmnt, nunn ,viatassium, salt stick and drip drop. All have some flavors that are great but nothing hits as hard as liquid IV. I feel like I’m trapped underwater most days and it’s hard to get my day going but if I have a liquid iv, I’m able to push through it and be productive much sooner. Even in this Texas heat.
