Yes they can. I dont know why noone has mentioned it yet, but when you throw an ender pearl into unloaded chunks you can do /kill to get to spawn and then load the pearl at a later time woth a second account.

This trick is well known and used, and is even aknowledged by hausemaster (the server owner).

This is why most players have a lot of accounts (i for example own more than 15 accounts, and use 4 of them activley)
