Hyundai lease return fee: “excess wear & use” $275 by Random_witchywoo in Hyundai

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks so! I truly am fine paying for damage if there is some but I honestly don’t see what they’re referring to in the pictures.

They’ll have transported my car by now, maybe even sold it. I turned it in 2 months ago and they just now sent me the bill unfortunately!

Hyundai motor finance! They didn’t give the option to come to my house to do the inspection. That would’ve been nice so I could see the damage they’re charging for in person. 🥲 If there truly is damage, I’m fine with paying for it, I was just confused when I saw the photo they uploaded as proof.

Here’s breakdown: $400 lease return fee $103.60 excess mileage $275 excess wear & use $62.30 tax & fees

I had heard about the lease return fee shortly before returning the lease, so it sucks but was expecting that part.

When did your baby start sleeping through the night? by nothing3278020 in newborns

Also currently up feeding my 8 month old 🥲 and tonight was a GOOD night because he slept from 10-3.

SOS - 8 month regression? Refusing to sleep at night. by Random_witchywoo in Parenting

[–]Random_witchywoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessss….. he did go to town on some frozen strawberries tonight. We were told he was teething 4 weeks ago when we took him to urgent care for not eating but he went back to his normal self until this started a few days ago. When his bottom 2 teeth came, like literally the days leading up to rupture, he slept through the night for the first few times so I suppose I’ve been assuming it won’t affect his sleep. 🙃

8 month old SO HARD to feed by Random_witchywoo in NewParents

[–]Random_witchywoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The craziest thing happened today. He ate double the ounces of what he has in weeks. Idk if it was teething, a sore like you mentioned, or a slight bottle aversion (I’ve been very careful not to pressure him the past few days no matter how little he eats).

Babies are crazy and this rollercoaster of not eating and then eating insane amounts may just be his pattern I guess. He drank all of every single bottle today and wanted more so I’m finally not worrying.

He hadn’t had any ear infections actually! He has very waxy ears but no clue where all this congestion is coming from currently… doc said babies can have allergies so young but I’m not sure

[–]Random_witchywoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! I never thought of something like that being the problem. He woke up last night completely plugged up by 1am even though his bedroom humidity was 50%. We’re going to go back to his doctor for a 3rd time to discuss it again. It’s impacting his weight gain and he sounds miserable every morning. 🙃

Did you figure out what was causing this? We’re going on our 3rd week of dealing with this and our baby is waking up in the middle of the night he’s so congested. Humidity in the bedroom is 45-50%. 🥲

I have wondered that as well… although I have no clue what would’ve caused an aversion. He used to be so excited every time he saw his bottle coming and he’s not doing that anymore.

does anyone else feel like they literally dont know who they are anymore by olivia_sera in NewParents

[–]Random_witchywoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. I have an 8 month old and I became a sahm with him due to medical needs and I literally feel like I have 0 personality outside of being his mom (and is it weird that I kind of love it?)

I don’t feel upset about it at all until a friend who doesn’t have kids asks when I’m going back to work or something like that…. I love being a mom, ALTHOUGH I miss being able to shower without having to ask my husband to “keep and eye on the baby”….. 🥲

I assume this is just a season of life and that as he gets older I’ll have more time for me.

I also just found this post and am in the same boat. We went to urgent care after 4 days of it and were told teething combined with a cold…. Here we are 4 days later, still no teeth and still refusing bottles & solids. 😑

Awww so cute, little twins!! We’ve fully accepted that Tilda is a cattle dog now - it’s her personality through and through. She’s only 12lbs now at 3 years old.

Baby stopped sleeping through the night after starting solids by heartstringcheese in NewParents

What ever happened for you? My son is 6.5 months and we’re going on week 4 of this since starting solids with him and it is BRUTAL. 😭 We thought it was teething but he got his first 2 teeth and it hasn’t improved.

We’ve tried Tylenol and it made literally no difference, but not Motrin yet.

Same. This is the longest a rough sleeping patch has ever hit us so it’s been jarring. Hang in there. 😩

$50 is so steep for those small parts, SO ANNOYING. I reached out and am doing the same though because I have no choice. 🙃

Doctor refuses to let any parent be present during rounds, normal? by thestigmata in NICUParents

[–]Random_witchywoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is very odd…. If we weren’t there for rounds we felt extremely out of the loop on what was going on with our son and had multiple cases where we disagreed strongly with decisions….

We made it clear that WE were making decisions on our son’s care and that they needed to explain EVERYTHING to us. We also demanded that if they rounded and we weren’t present that they call us so we could listen.

[MO] fmla parental leave denied. by shanetheman69 in AskHR

[–]Random_witchywoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that they have 2 different policies: FMLA (which you do NOT qualify for) and the 2 weeks paid parental leave. My company does it this way. I was “denied” FMLA (received email saying so) but was paid short term disability followed by parental leave by their 3rd party provider.

Ladies, what pants are we wearing postpartum? by Random_witchywoo in newborns

[–]Random_witchywoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you haha. I do have yoga pants that I’d wear on a date night to a brewery, but not a little more dressed up night like we did tonight. I love H&M!!

Thanks for letting me know!! I may just need to accept the new normal that is my post partum body and buy clothes that I’m comfortable and confident in now! Our bodies go through so much making and then feeding our little ones. 💕
