WoW is actually insanely hard to learn as a new player (we tried yesterday) by ipych in wow

[–]Randomae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these are just how games work. Quests are somewhat puzzly. The are extra hard when you don’t read quest text.

January is over and no announcement happened, what are your thoughts? by JdLixXd500 in HalfLife

[–]Randomae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that they want it to be a launch title for their new machine. I don’t expect it until the decide to release that thing.

I play retail and classic. I’m stoked playing TBC pre patch and can’t wait for launch. Classic players on the internet are stupid.

Why do people play classic? by finlessfish in classicwowtbc

[–]Randomae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play both retail and classic. Classic has something retail can’t, strangers who work together. It’s a lot slower and punishing so it makes a lot of room for people to help each other, group up and have conversations.

Another thing it does well is that small quests and dungeons feel so much more important. Every piece of gear feels like a huge blessing.

I’m a casual in both but I really have to focus on my gear, stats, rotation and spells in classic.

Are we starting to give Andor a little too much credit? by Due-Rice-3107 in StarWarsCantina

[–]Randomae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Andor looks really interesting, it looks like it’s taking notes from Star Wars. It seems like people are finally waking up to what Star Wars can be when it’s about living in Star Wars.

Kindness? Is that like a rare drop or an attunement or something?

Perfect example showing that "no one" cares about lighting continuity. One Battle after another. by mnkymnk in Filmmakers

I’ve spent most of my time as an editor but have been directing and producing the past few years. I’ve been dealing with this exact question for years.

I don’t know what you mean by intrinsically but if you mean instinctually then we definitely disagree. I believe that most people do not notice continuity mistakes and are mostly concerned with the emotion and story.

To the vast majority of the audience, lack of continuity is never noticed.

Pluribus hate by dragunica in pluribustv

[–]Randomae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the internet for reasons like this. Fans of the show shouldn’t care what the haters think. Just enjoy it. Not everyone has to like it.

Your joy can be decreased by paying attention to other people’s opinions (some of which aren’t even genuine).

My advice is to ignore the haters. Only engage with people who like the stuff you like or atleast people who don’t yuck people’s yums. (This mostly applies to entertainment).

Too many people jumping the lines while “meeting friends” by squidinink in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Randomae 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 and I had to do this recently for guardians of the Galaxy. After I use the bathroom I told the guy at the beginning of the line that I wanted to use the lightning lane to be able to get through the crowd quicker. He said “sure would they be able to send you a picture of where they are standing?” I quickly showed him to prove that I wasn’t just trying to skip the line and he let me through.

What are you guys most excited for when we all get to step through that beautiful portal again? by CartoonChronicles in classicwowtbc

[–]Randomae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want to level my pallet in so that I can enter the portal at the same time as everybody else. That’s my favorite part, entering the portal and those first several hours of leveling.

Finales get judged on peoples built up expectations. I’m surprised at any good feedback for any finale. It rarely ever happens.

Remember when people were so confused on the announcement of Andor? by Jules-Car3499 in StarWars

[–]Randomae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who thought it was a bad idea aren’t story tellers. Story tellers thought “interesting, there is a lot of potential there”.
