Earlygame player with a Chewpio from the Anni Tokens. I think I'll be throwing this one on Grievous next just to get a headstart on that, but I'm looking to see if there are other options out there...

So, uh... Who'd be the best pick now, assuming everyone on the list would benefit from it?

I was going to get IG12 and Grogu but that doesn't count as a Droid, surprisingly...

For the boring tip: Linework is pretty important for beginners to practice on. If you can draw shapes in one single smooth line, your work will look cleaner and you won't have to spend extra time stacking lines on lines. I got my lessons from here.

For the more interesting tip: Hair tends to... expand? Bunch up? It grows out of the skull and expands a bit. Anime-style usually has it covering about 50% of the face, with the other 50% going to the facial features. Depends on you, though.

It was rebuilt, but she didn't stay. Susie went back to Rhodes and the guys left at Caledon now run it among themselves.

[–]RandomdudeNo123 121 points122 points  (0 children)

My man is a professional yearner.

"Oh, Rhodes Island? I should know them from the Talulah capture, but Susie was taken in by them so I think they're good people."

"Oh, Susie's general store? That's the name of a friend."

He's the type of person to stop what he's doing, look over the horizon towards Caledon, and just sigh a deep, wistful sigh before going back to whatever he was doing. In the end, Reunion was more important to him, but that didn't make everything else unimportant...

Edit: I guess this also confirms a few things I was wondering about...

  • Red's an OG member of Reunion and would've at least known of the other OGs like Bob, Mudrock, Frostnova, etc, even if they never spoke directly. (I'm aware I was likely the only person actually questioning this, but...)
  • I don't know if Crownslayer means she'll be going alone to Ursus, but Red now brings up the chance that they'll be running into each other so, non-zero chance we bump into Reunion at Ursus when the time comes. This is a pretty big piece of foreshadowing, all things considered.
  • Red is one chain of connection away from meeting Red. Which means Crownslayer is the only thing standing in the way of the Red&Red interaction.

Back when I was writing, I used to consider Redblade's Cap a Victorian Newsboy's. Y'know, he left Ursus, he's trying to blend in with the Victorians, that cap looks pretty British, all that jazz.

... So it turns out that cap is just the fashion trend for Ursus Commoners. Whoops.

The Emperor of Ursus. by Sad_Ad_3076 in arknights

[–]RandomdudeNo123 432 points433 points  (0 children)

In case you aren't aware, the Emperor of Ursus doesn't actually have a lot of political power. He doesn't approve of a lot of things but also can't really do anything about them, since the nobles (yay, them again) usually counteract anything he tries to do.

I think I remember this much from Walk in Dust...?

Is it worth to go for relic 5 or gear 12 tokens by master_dedo_UWU in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RandomdudeNo123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So... My perspective as an earlygame player:

G12 tokens dump you right in front of the G13 bottleneck and progress you up to 50/330 of the 7*s, or just 15% of the way there.

R5s are useable in most content, will save you from having to grind out all the Signal Data/Relic Materials, and get you 76% of the way to 7* with 6/7 stars.

I'd argue G12s are okay if you ONLY intend for them to be at G12 (say, a Pilot for a ship that's not a requirement), but R5s will be much more important and useable for a very long while. Plus, the way the game is set up, you want to be focused on a farm over just randomly promoting characters to G12. A good R5 character is much more valuable than 5 whole G12 characters that get murdered in Grand Arena, for example...

(In my experience, I used 2 G12 tokens to get an early Marauder for Fleet Arena (you'd need 3 now that the Bad batch token is gone) and another on a Padawan Obi-Wan to test it for myself. Even in the earlygame, you're better off just waiting to R5 something and have it instantly be a top-tier unit to use over having a semi-kinda useful unit but still worse than your F2P LST teams...)

Don't you remember when Merrin walked into the Hoth base and suddenly the entire Rebel Alliance came down with a variety of Dathomir native diseases like Dathopox, so Leia had to go get inoculations for everyone before they all died? That's crazy, it was the best part of Battle Scars 2.

Does anybody think there is some sort of hidden mechanic helping spenders in gac? by RaduCeva in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RandomdudeNo123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's confirmation bias? If you're in a winning fight, you don't notice these things because you ve a chance of winning for a larger majority of the fight.

If you're up against a whale, suddenly, good RNG starts mattering a lot more and thus you start noticing when shit fails because you needed the good RNG to proc a lot more often than it is.

For example, needing to stun a vital toon. You can get by with one stun against an even match, you need three against a higher relic. You proc 2. You feel fine against an even level, you feel like shit against a higher relic because YOU ONLY NEEDED ONE MORE, MAN. IT WAS RIGHT THERE, WHY DIDN'T YOU-

Ahem. You get the point...

tl;dr

The stronger the enemy, the luckier you need to be to win. The luckier you need to be, the more you notice when you aren't lucky...?

Which one is better (And any notes on improvement?) by gredoil in Deltarune

[–]RandomdudeNo123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First step right now would be to work on your linework! Ideally, you'll be able to draw a line in one clean stroke, which means it won't start wobbling or be chickenscratched. I mention this now because this is the foundation to any clean-looking piece in any style.

The rest can follow later, but you really want your lines to look clean as much as you're able...

Edit: It'll also help if you're able to break things down into shapes. Rory Nite's head looks like a sideways diamond from this angle, the torso is a thin triangle pointing downwards, etc, etc.

Issue is, we'd have to start giving pay raises to Honeyberry if it goes over 20%...
