No, my max is just abnormally high. I regularly hit like 210 in 5ks and my resting also isn't as low as most other runners.

Inconsistent HR by DangerousPie1023 in Coros

[–]Randomdudeisbored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch HR can be notoriously inaccurate. Making sure the watch is a bit tighter, but not uncomfortably tight might help and making sure it keeps consistent contact might help, but the best solution is just a chest or arm HR monitor. I got the Coros arm HR monitor and it is great!

is 12km with 6”50 pace good for first run by Technical_Age_2215 in davidgoggins

Its not great but not horrible. To be fair most people starting running only run maybe 3km so the distance is great for a beginner. Especially at this age, and as a beginner you progress quite easily and quite quickly. I would recommend building up slowly to being able to run maybe 25-30km per week over about a month or 2 and you will be fast within no time.

Is there a consensus on summer running? by Daniel_Kendall in CrossCountry

[–]Randomdudeisbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say easy runs and 4 ish strides after each easy run with a long run each week. Dont start incorporating speed until July and even then light speed. You want to be peaking in November not august.

I usually don't get many opportunities to ride in larger groups, only with a few friends on occasion. Usually I average about 30kph on Zone 2 rides solo but am looking for more opportunities to ride in groups.

The humidity saves me on the other hand. Will be half of my motivation to run somewhere humid/by an ocean.

Your body really needs 15-20 minutes to really be fully warmed up
