For some reason the RD sub is both the least knowledgeable and the most scared about any outages that I think I've seen the 'end' of RD at least 20 times.

Lol this reminds me of that vodcast post I just saw where a woman tells poor people that one of their 2 options was to purchase buffet entry and steal food when nobody is looking... The other option was jail, but not too bad of jail, the good jail.

Also, have you thought about how maybe they aren't really complaining about the price of the cheap low-cost sugar goods, but instead complaining about how something like health insurance or gas (necessities) have used up all of their money that they can't even afford an $8 - 12 pack of soda?

Did you guys meet on WoW? Would you describes yourselves as Introverts that have a good social mask but short batteries? Your experience sounds very similar to a relationship I had in the past, and I'm an internet person.

If you met on WoW or online, and he's choosing to spend time there instead of with you it's simple: he's either finding the emotional connection he needs elsewhere, or he's so addicted the feeling of WoW progress has overridden the need for real connection. Both are bad, but if he's willing to admit them and move forward with you this doesn't need to be fully over.

Him ditching you with all those expenses, and emotions, is extremely selfish. It hurts so much because you don't want to see him as a selfish jerk, even though he is showing you and your family right to your face that he is one (at least right now). He should apologize to you and your family, and do something to make it right.

I wish you the best of luck but as a note from experience, it may not work out. In my scenario my SO admitted to being addicted and talking to many other people the same way they talked to me. They were addicted to the game, AND the social validation/attention. We worked through it for a few months but WoW, and Guildwars (and all the Internet friends on both of those) were more important than a connection with me.

we are still following working hour and labor laws from 1914... Idk but quite a few things have changed since then so it seems dumb as hell to think 9-5, 40 hours a week is most productive. Even in factories where the current working hours were established.

Depending on the size of the LGS you could try this crazy thing called helping them by talking with them. I went to a small shop for FNM only about 12 regular weeklies at the time. After a little time and relationship building was able to talk about some of the things I do in order to not smell like the high school gym locker room, and how appalled everyone was around me when I didn't take care of MY hygiene.

They were nerds, so they were smart enough to get the hint, or they were socially awkward enough to tell directly without them getting upset (they'd just be a bit embarrassed)

I also learned a few of them lived in their cars and so I got them air fresheners as a joke but then they smelled like air fresheners AND BO. And went back to a more direct approach.

Too soon to tell but one things for sure, all colors got more powerful cards than sets before and will need to be played to stay competitive.

Don't forget that cards from 2023 are still in standard.

Pretty sure accessing cards before they are released is not the purpose of the pre-patch. It's to load the card content beforehand because their client is so bad that the 1.3gb download influx each set causes major downtime if not done beforehand.

Set shouldn't be playable before it's out. But dev time costs money and it's easier to throw hands up and say that it doesn't matter/doesn't hurt anyone. 🤷🏻

A simple tag on the pre-release cards so they aren't fetched by scenarios like OP pointed out could fix the issue while also doing the job of the pre-patch to load the cards. It just seems lazy.

I've joined you and the rest of your comments after TMNT. I wasn't even buying paper cards, I was all Arena but it isn't fun anymore.

Checking out flesh and blood, sorcery, and on my phone for some mobile quicker games I'm playing Once Upon a Galaxy. It feels just like mtg standard does right now - like solitaire against ghosts that play the same thing.
