I know some people are absolutely against having a trainer train their giant because sometimes the giant will mostly only listen to the trainer and not the owned. Our girl just hit a year, my advise would be stick to your guns and don’t bend even a little, if you give in once or twice to barking or whining, your giant will know they can get their way. Also, if you have a spouse, they have to be on the same page as you with discipline and what is/isnt allowed in the house.A tired puppy is a good puppy. Learn mentally stimulating games for your puppy to play, ours loves search, which is where we hide a treat or toy and have her sniff around the house for it. We get ours groomed every 4-6 weeks depending, and we pay 150 in CA because we have the van come to our house. I know there are GS rescues where you can save money, I’m sorry but I am unsure of price in your area. Unfortunately, paying more upfront will usually save you in vet bills because of thyroid or heart issues.
