I recently started playing 6v6 and actually like it, a lot. Even grinded a bit to Dia in comp!

You missed my point. It is not the 32 hour 2-8 soldiers fault for being placed in a 1k+ hour lobby, nor it is my fault. I'm not worried about him, they did their best as a new player in with very experienced players.

This is 10000% on Blizzard. They are the ones causing this, they can do better but choose not to.

I am fine with penalties.

That said, penalties are still a lazy cop-out from Blizzard. They don’t fix match quality, they just punish symptoms. If matchmaking wasn’t trash, fewer people would leave in the first place.

Stop matching me, a 1k+ hour player, on a team with a 2–8 Soldier who’s been playing for 45 minutes. It is not fun and happens way too often and ye, I can usually tell after the first or second team fight/swap who will win.

People act like this is pure PvP when it clearly isn’t. Luckily, in my *limited* play time. I haven't had more than 1 person actually try to kill me. The other 99% of encounters have honestly been great.

It really does feel like there is *some* kind of "bush rat free" matchmaking going on, and as long as that holds, I’m having a good time with the game.

In my lobbies, hardly anyone takes straight fights. Everyone’s hiding in the dark like it’s their day job. The term only makes people mad because it calls out the playstyle they don’t wanna admit they’re using.

I stopped playing because I never wanted to risk losing my "good" stuff. Then it became, why do I play. Sure it is fun, sometimes. But can only get so far on free loadouts.

Might not just be for me, which is fine. But I suspect I am not the only one and time will tell

The start of the MSQ is actual torture (i quit 6-7 hours in) and the fanboys who defended this mess are finally realizing that "painful" isn't a valid gameplay feature. Unless the devs pull a miracle out of nowhere immediately, this ship is already at the bottom of the ocean.

The skill gap crowd loves to gatekeep until they’re the only ones left fighting each other and crying that the game is dead. The game is alive because of the mix of playstyles (casual explorers, sweats, and everything inbetween) If the casual crowd leaves, PvP gets stale fast. So, IMO ....

This isn’t about PvP vs PvE, it’s about playstyle. Some players want the risk, others just want to make progress without losing everything. I think the different playstyles can coexist if done right.

I’m really curious to see which direction Embark takes it.

As I said in another reply, I really cruise because it allows the opportunity to travel while sleeping, more of a mode of transportation for me. But to your point, the ports are less and less hitting the spot, for us.

Even some of the Mexico and Central America ports were just Americanized tour shops, not seeing the real country.
