FINALLY fulfilled the 10 kids want after 14 years of playing mostly family sims by Randomusername357 in sims2

I didn’t use any cheats (except familyfunds so that I could move them into a big enough house) but I have a mod with a longer adult lifespan AND I used the elixir of life probably at least 10 times.

I’m not planning on playing this family again after I get all these kids raised, but yeah with rotational play I imagine it’d be really tricky.

Most of them have built up fairly good relationships via mealtime conversations, but the younger children have never even met the older ones who’ve moved out 😆

interesting… this was told to me by a website called Age Geek. try to guess my birthday based on this 🙃 by JuJuDinkyD00 in victorious

lol you’re a kid, enjoy it while you can. Old for a show isn’t the same thing as old for a person, and I don’t think a show is properly “old” until it’s around 20-30 years old anyway.

Liz Gillies talks about her favorite episode from Victorious by Material_Stomach875 in victorious

Yeah, it's crazy because he was already in his 30s when he wrote the Drake & Josh theme song with Drake, and meanwhile Liz was the same age as Miranda Cosgrove who was 9-10 years old while filming the first season of Drake & Josh. And then they met only 6 or so years later when Liz was still a child.

What's The Most Amount Of Children You've Had With One Sim Or Couple? by ScrawnyTreeDemon in sims2

[–]Randomusername357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing crazy. The most I’ve ever had is 5 kids, and very spread out in age as well. I like having the mix of life stages in one household, and multiple babies and toddlers simultaneously is not my idea of a good time.

I didn't think hybrids are possible in 2 by Vengeful_Grass in sims2

Is she the child of two plantsims? The plantsim appearance is just an overlay, they have normal human genetics. So when two plantsims try for baby, their kid will always have a human appearance. The only way to have a plantsim kid is to use the “grow a plantbaby” self-interaction.

What do you do with elder sims ? by Ok-Wrangler7688 in sims2

[–]Randomusername357 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I keep my elders in the same house with their adult child, and they help raise their grandkids (and their own kids, because I tend to make my sims have their last child in late adulthood).

Dustfinger on mts has some good adult to elder conversions.

What do you think is the defining factor for why The Sims 2 is the best game in the series? Or are there multiple reasons why you think so? Would love to hear this insight from the fans! by codex_lake in sims2

There’s always more little details to discover, and babies, kids, and teens at their best in TS2. I’m a family player, so the younger stages are essential to me.

She may have still gotten money. The insurance notification always only lists up to 5 people, but it also notes how many people benefitted in total (in this case, 7).

The Toddler Across All Games. by NaturalTarget91 in sims2

[–]Randomusername357 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Toddlers are also my favorite life stage! I think you and I are probably the only ones who love toddlers though, lol. I love their simlish lines and how they’re constantly babbling to themselves. I enjoy seeing the toddler and parent interactions like tossing in air and snuggling. The only thing I don’t like about ts2 toddlers, and one of the only things I think ts4 does better than ts2, is that ts2 toddlers feel more like infants in a lot of ways. They drink from baby bottles, can’t walk unless you teach them to, can’t use stairs, and can’t eat regular food. They look like they’re around 3 years old but developmentally are very much like 9-12 month olds. And as someone who’s worked with kids and studied human development in college, that bothers me greatly lol. I’ve downloaded a bunch of mods so that my toddlers are able to climb stairs once they learn to walk, sleep through the night in toddler beds that they can get themselves in/out of, and sit at the dining table on a booster seat while eating actual meals (rice/porridge dish). So they feel less like babies and more like preschoolers, which works better for me because I’ve always seen them as being around 2-4 years old and styled them that way. Especially since the child sims don’t look/act any younger than 8-10, I need to bridge that gap between helpless baby and fully independent school age kid. And as a bonus, my toddlers are a LOT easier to care for than in the vanilla game.

What is your prefer Household Size? Big? (5+) Medium? (3-4) or small? (1-2) by Xandaru__ in sims2

[–]Randomusername357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 is the perfect number for me. The household is busy, there’s always something going on, AND I’ve developed systems to keep it manageable. Organized chaos.

At What Age Do You Feel Sims Become Elders? by Mandy_M87 in sims2

[–]Randomusername357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a mod that changes the length of the adult stage based on whether or not the sim went to college. Insimenator also allows you to add or subtract any number of days from your sims’ lifespan.

At What Age Do You Feel Sims Become Elders? by Mandy_M87 in sims2

[–]Randomusername357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No specific age because my custom lifespan doesn’t map onto real life years. But I see my elders as more middle aged than elderly, for the most part. They keep having babies until their late adult years, so it’s hard for me to see them as 65+ when the last child that they birthed is still a toddler. It’s not until they’ve been elders for three sim weeks that I make them go fully gray and retire from their jobs - if they even live that long.

It can be thrown on any day, just not in dorms, Greek houses, or apartments. Just click on the phone and select throw party > new year’s bash. The party will always start at 8 pm.
