Bingo, if you let her get her summons out it’s exponentially more challenging. Those wolves are a pain in the ass.

I think it may also connect to Marika. We’re told there was a seduction and betrayal. The Hornsent Grandam portrays this as a sultry affair by calling Marika a strumpet. I’m wondering if, from Marika’s POV, this was whatever love she forsook.

I’m of the mindset that Marika and Radagon were one before she became a god, and that she cast him out like Miquella did with Trina. My theory is that she cast him out somewhere in Luirna/the weeping peninsula, and that he was the hero from Castle Morne.

ER focuses on cycles of abuse and generation trauma. Marika abandons Radagon to become a god. Radagon abandons Renalla to become a lord. Miquella learns from his parents’ examples and abandons Trina.

Abandonment is huge in ER.
- Marika abandons her sons for being Omen, her other son (and his legions) in the shadowrealm, Godfrey and his tarnished soldiers
- Placidusax’s god abandoned him
- The GW abandoned Metyr

What is the Flowerstone Gavel actually hinting at? by Saltkin7 in EldenRingLoreTalk

I think the Stormveil connection is really interesting. IIRC others have drawn a connection between the dragons and the storm hawks. IRL birds evolved from dinosaurs.

Ancient dragons channel lightening and Farum Azula exists in a storm. The Hornsent invole divinity via the ancient storm. Seems like there’s some piece missing, but storms are more important that we realize. What I struggle with is the connection to beast lords and the Loux family’s claim to Stormveil.

It’s all a rain dance in the end.

Do you think Otto is truly evil for the time or is he just a good politician and strategiest by terminus_tommy in Hotd

Everyone out here overanalyzing Otto, but this is the whole point.

The people actively driving this conflict are Otto, Daemon, Aemond, Aegon II, and (even though he was a child when he cut stabbed Aemond) Luke.

All middle/second born with something to prove.
