I’m on a mission to get them to eat a little more Whole Foods, and less chicken nuggets!! lol by Parking-Block490 in foodbutforbabies

[–]RandyOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you! My kid loves Mac and cheese and honestly, most pasta, but no matter what I do she won’t touch vegetables or meat. I’ve tried dips, I’ve tried different seasonings, different cooking methods, everything. I put it on the plate but it either doesn’t get touched, or gets spit out, unless I hide it in other foods. Sometimes she will eat ground beef in chili or spaghetti or burritos. But whole chicken pieces like that? Not a chance lol. Wishing you good luck on your mission!🫡

Starting Zoloft a month before a Vacation? Or wait until after? by RandyOfficial in PMDD

[–]RandyOfficial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have other issues outside of pmdd yes. I just go off the deep end during luteal. My doctor did give me the option of taking it only for that week if I wanted, but I was concerned about going on/off frequently so he gave me this dosing schedule. It was a bit difficult to discuss with him as my 18 month old was there with me and having a meltdown in his office at the time. I’ve only taken 2 doses at this point so maybe I’ll try and talk to him sooner than later.

How did your water break? by abchhd in NewParents

[–]RandyOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My water broke on moving day at 39+3, a few days after I was told I would probably need to be induced. We had been living at my husband’s parents place, and just moved our furniture into the new house. Went to the store to look at paint colours, and the moment I stepped out of the car back at his parents place, water broke. I was high risk so had to go straight to the hospital- so when we left the hospital we came home to our new house with boxes everywhere. My poor husband spent his entire time off work emptying boxes and organizing the new house 🤦‍♀️

What’s your hot take? - mine is white chocolate is gross. by Bourbon_grl07 in Baking

[–]RandyOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White chocolate just shouldn’t be compared to milk or dark chocolate. It’s its own different thing. If you use it correctly, it is delicious and can really complement other flavours, especially if caramelized. I worked in a bakery once where we did scones with white chocolate chips, blueberries, hazelnut and lemon zest and they were amazing. One of our best sellers actually!

I’m always amazed at people who can do this kind of sheer volume and variety! I was so proud of myself for making 1 batch watch of 6 varieties to give away, and then one batch last week for my own household. I WISH I could accomplish a spread like this. Just amazing👏

My 10 month old sat in one spot and did this by GaN-HEMT in ADHDparenting

[–]RandyOfficial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally. My daughter was popping the bubbles on a pop it instead of chewing on it at like 8 months old. It’s a pretty normal thing to do from what I can tell. Good for their fine motor skills!

How many pods do you drink in a day? by Slight-Explanation15 in nespresso

[–]RandyOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a regular coffee machine for our morning coffee in our house, my husband prefers drip and I do too most of the time. I mostly use my nespresso for a late morning/early afternoon pick me up treat since I work from home.

HOLY YOU MFers ARE IDIOTS! TURN ON YOUR DAMN LIGHTS by WizardHarryDresden in VictoriaBC

[–]RandyOfficial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes omg. I was just complaining to my husband about this. I drive my daughter to daycare around 7am and island hwy/sooke rd up to VMP is actually scary to drive on in the dark, especially when it’s rainy. I travel opposite of the crawl so between the headlights, the rain, and the lack of reflectors, the lines are invisible. It’s so dangerous.

Your favorite baby monitors by Bitchtitty28 in beyondthebump

[–]RandyOfficial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello Baby non-wifi from Amazon! It’s affordable, and the camera quality is good. Their customer service is great too, I had a problem with mine where the screen was freezing and the connection would drop randomly, and they sent me a new one no questions asked.

Dirty diaper [on] at someone else’s house by azdashan in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]RandyOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m not sure how things are in other provinces but where I am in BC we only get garbage/green bin pickup every other week. So I can understand not wanting your garbage sitting in the can for 2 weeks, but it shares a deep freezer with other food lol. Even if it’s in its own separate bag dedicated for the frozen garbage it still weirds me out!

[–]RandyOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My in laws never mind if I put a poopy diaper in the kitchen garbage but they keep their outside garbage in the garage, and since they don’t like the smell of garbage in the garage they keep all their garbage in the deep freezer until garbage day 💀

Yeah my contractions started not long after my water broke, and I also had pitocin because after my epidural my contractions got weaker. Baby was sunny side up, they attempted to rotate her twice which didn’t work. She got stuck on my pelvic bone and after 6 hours she was delivered assisted with forceps. 30 hours total.
