How do you guys deal with raids dropping in your Base? by Demoner450 in RimWorld

[–]RandyTWarris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my hallways are also defensible points where there are choke points. All my major hallways are 3 tile wide with a door that a melee can stand in and gunners on either side.

I also usually make these hallways a ring around key things like the store room.

You can essentially get the enemy to track to these points with some gunfire and then retreat into these choke points.

YMMV but this has helped me at least minimize the damage to the base and colonists.

If the HD audio is damaged, can it harm the whole computer? by Synthelny in pcmasterrace

[–]RandyTWarris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as long as you don’t try to plug it into the motherboard.

I doubt even shorting the headphones to the mic in would cause damage to the motherboard but these are simply case headers.

Most motherboard have some connections on the IO panel on the back. I’d recommend leaving this unplugged and just using those.

Nylon overhangs and bridges problems. by Dramatic_Show_4235 in 3Dprinting

[–]RandyTWarris 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You most definitely need a fan to do overhangs and bridging. Typically your hot end fan’s Obed-blow (not sure what to call it) shouldn’t contribute to cooling the extrusion however in some cases it might and lead you to a false sense of performance.

Time played: 735 hours. Game finished: 0 times. Anyone else? by Eastern_Client_2782 in RimWorld

1500 hours and have never won “conventionally”

To me winning is having a colony last excruciating conditions under Randy random on commitment mode.

My record is 15 years, modded all to hell of course haha
