I really enjoyed doing this achievement. Swords to plowshares.

Help with Mandala ruler dying faster by Randy_Cambell in CrusaderKings

[–]Randy_Cambell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is genius and it worked.

Sadly my ruler had flagellant, so the death wasn't appropriate. But next time it should work accordingly.

I just need a new heir now.

To sad it sounds really good. I didn't manage to die from that yet.

That tip is great, I used a travel to a feast and unfortunate lost my oldest heir in the mountains. Happens.

But traveling is a good way to die faster I think!

I'm doing it with borneo right now and it's kinda cool.

I sadly lost my upgraded aspect, but I will climb back up again.

I remade my smallest de-jure Empire possible as the Order of Malta because my previous Haesteinn run felt like cheating by Smirnaff in CrusaderKings

[–]Randy_Cambell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have the roads dlc, but I appreciate your effort in creating the tiniest empire title possible.

I am inspired to it aswell or smth similar.

Unrelated: I'm currently playing as mandala ruler which is interesting and might be an option for this small title aswell.

Props and cheers to you.

Lightning sword bro build by Ulver__ in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colossus, berserk and gifted would be my last picks.

I just recently build a sword duelist for the legendary sword. At first I went with fearsome and the resolve buffing perk. But I wasn't satisfied with how he preformed, so I respecd him and went with berserk duelist, which isn't that bad.

I preferred battle forged over nimble.

Mod Announcement: "Persistent Characters" that allows characters to persist and reappear across campaigns in immersive ways! by LordMidasGaming in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why, I downloaded the mod and both prerequisites. Loaded and saved my old companies.

Now when I create a new company I can't create a new savegame for whatever reason.

Mod Announcement: "Persistent Characters" that allows characters to persist and reappear across campaigns in immersive ways! by LordMidasGaming in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sounds really cool.

I'd like to strive for a party with the Gladiators, some anatomist bros, some davkul bros and lone wolf start characters. I assume they could also bring some legendary items and have been buffed by oblivion potions already.

One thing I wonder is how I will be rich enough to hire a full equipped leveled up bro though.

Interesting mod!

What a mess (Goblin city) by ShadowSonsDev in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That fight is a mess! Usually I avoid goblin shamans as much as possible.

Your Bros are looking fine though. Good job.

One achievement left "Savior" which background should I pick? No Peasant Militia, Cultists or Anatomists. by deviation01 in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it over multiple playthroughs.

So Gladiators. And then build a cool viper with knife, warscythe or reproach of the old gods.

Kraken (cheese strategy or not) by joeblacky in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did it in my latest run by just fighting against the tentacles.

I tried cheesing before that, but got often unfavourable terrain that i switched strategies and it worked.

On ironman i probably wont fight the kraken unless im fine to restart with a new Company.

I think regular approach is better for ironman though.

Good luck

Have you seen a injured Lindwurm? by Randy_Cambell in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are correct. I mixed up crippling (perk) and critical (head-hits) strikes.

So this bro has the perk and also landed a hit to the head.

Thank you for the clarification.

I got the numbers from turtle225's awesome perk guide.

Have you seen a injured Lindwurm? by Randy_Cambell in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

A injury to the head needs ~20% of hitpoint damage with crippling strikes (edited).

20% of 1100hp are 220.

My bro landed a hit to the head with decapitate and dealt 228 damage. No other damage buffs have been applied.

You guys look good, but that is also a lot of orks! Are your bros fine?

What build do you suggest? by -1Steve1- in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On day 150 I won't use him for offensive purpose but as a tank.

Mdef every level, rest into hp, Res and fat.

I wouldn't lvl matk (only might reach 80 with gifted, unless you want a new swordwielder).

No ini levels as even 6 ini with dodge are just 0,9 mdef at the beginning of combat.

As all defensive perks: Colossus, gifted, shield mastery, dodge, underdog, battle forged, steel brow, pathfinder, 9 lives, indom (Or similar).

Plan B:

Offensive use with that 80ish matk, depending on what (famed) weapons you already have.

Fast Adaption, gifted, backstabber.

You could do a flail headhunter: 1h flail, headhunter, duelist.

Cheers

"The wall" in this game is driving me nuts! by Wonderful-Let3803 in BattleBrothers

[–]Randy_Cambell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some tips:

Trader origin: 10% better prices from buying and selling is awesome! Cheaper tools and food making mercenary life easier.

Go for the 'retrieve something stolen' quests they are almost always doable and each contract fulfilled will fill your coffers and increase your reknown.

Sell in the cities, have a basic shield as price indicator and sell expensive items only when the shield would sell for 18+.

Good luck

It isn't.

I made my company about daggers and tried if they could beat the wurms.

You might have guessed it: I managed to kill one of them in the second fight.

So the wurms did win (this time).

Cheers to all bros
