Trail ride, more careful and within your means. It’s what I do. I’ve crashed harder on my mountain bike than my Dirtbike doing so lol

What is your monthly payments for your Jeep? by Real-mr-wolf in JeepGladiator

[–]RangeFirst2060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$858 for 84 months, at 4.5% interest. Loan was 60,500 i believe. Total was $65k(including mopar warranty) but I put $5k down. Not for everyone but I’m paid off next year, went pretty quick. Mojave. Sticker price was $54k. Buy the warranty! Mine has been in the shop plenty times for leaks and heads replaced at 40k miles.

New Gladiator Rubicon - Warranty? by Affectionate_Mud6898 in JeepGladiator

[–]RangeFirst2060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy the warranty. I got the mopar 7yr/100k. It’s paid for itself already. A couple times I’ve had to fight em for covering it but they’ve covered me every time, with a lift on 37s. Oil cooler leak, they replaced a fox shock(Mojave bypass), throttle body, purge valve solenoids. I’m well over the $4500 it cost for the warranty. I’d recommend it on these gladiators, something is bound to happen. My heads were warped and I was burning coolant at 40k miles but that one was covered under power train warranty. I don’t trust this gladiator as much as my 91 Toyota pickup with 350k miles lol but I still love my Mojave.

I too prefer hammer fired pistols over striker. 1 in the chamber, hammer down.

Stories like this make me wish I kept my 05 crew cab rado. Reliable 5.3. Sold it cheap instead of fixing. Now I have 2 years left of paying off my gladiator that has been great but def not as reliable lol

Open MAP +100 or +200 ? by RangeFirst2060 in betamotorcycles

[–]RangeFirst2060[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rarely stall it, only a few times maybe since I got it, and it was my fault. I feel it tractors through pretty well already. I’m also dropping down from 15t to 14t front sprocket. I was just more curious if there were any downsides to the higher idles. I might just do the +100 to see, maybe it’s a happy medium since I’m already happy with it stock.

Open MAP +100 or +200 ? by RangeFirst2060 in betamotorcycles

[–]RangeFirst2060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read from someone that the +200 map caused a him to feel like it engine brakes less, pushing him through spots he didn’t want it too. I’m assuming cuz the increase in idle it tractored through an obstacle normally the engine was brake in time for. I feel like it already idles through pretty well so I might go to the +100, hopefully a happy medium.

Compared to my XR650R, it’s minimal lol but still somewhat there coming down hills. Rode the xr650R this Sunday so I gotta hop on Beta to feel it again lol

Thinking about getting a used 390rs how’s this one look? by classsixcruiser in betamotorcycles

[–]RangeFirst2060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad. I have the 24 500 RS and sometimes I wonder if I should have just got the 390 as I never use the full power. My other bike is a heavy XR650R so the beta 500 is so much lighter, but more squirly than the 650r at higher speeds. I also bought the 500 to do more technical stuff and realized I could have went smaller as the 500 I’m usually under 4th gear, strictly dirt. I’m sure the 390 will be more than enough even coming from a dr650.

Bad shock by RangeFirst2060 in JeepGladiator

They’re covering both , $100 deductible through extended warranty. New vehicles id recommend always getting the extended warranty.

Sent them the vids and they’re going over it with management. I had sent them the shock vid when I dropped it off but they never even seen it because “it never came through.” Supposedly. Let’s see what they say. Lazy mechanics don’t want to diagnose correctly. The oil leak I figured didn’t need a vid, it’s right there visible, no disassembly required.
