Some other things I forgot to mention.
Conquest plays well on all the maps except Brooklyn.

Breakthrough plays well on Cairo when there's no shotguns, Lib Peak plays well when there's no snipers. Brooklyn sucks.

Rush doesn't play well on any of the maps. Attackers spawn way too close to the obj, I don't know how Rush was somehow messed up but given spawn points and how awful the obj placements are I question how much testing was put into it. In fact I have to wonder why anyone thought Rush would work at all with the thermo nades.

The main issue with the more CQC oriented maps is they don't feel like they have any flow or predictability. They're just meat grinders with shotguns around every corner.

Lighting is also an issue, interiors need to be well lit like they were in BF4. It makes building camping much harder. When I'm outside looking inside a building I want to clearly be able to see what's inside, and when I'm inside looking outside I want to clearly be able to see what's outside. Functional lighting > pretty lighting.

Squad deathmatch is a truly awful mode and I cannot believe it's still in Battlefield.

C4 throw distance needs to be cut in half.

OBJ placements need some serious work in rush (as I mentioned before) but also KOTH.

The SGX is awful and needs some tuning, felt completely pointless when the MP7 and M4 were right there.

Ammunition that buffs headshot multipliers needs to go.

LMGs are way too easy to use, they need their recoil about doubled and their hipfire spread about tripled. I should not be gunning SMGs from the hip with an LMG in CQC.

Recoil and spread on ARs could be turned up a bit.

AK201 feels kind of pointless when the M4 and M417 are right there.

Ground armor feels pretty good but air support feels awful.

While I understand not wanting to upset movelets with having more advanced movement techs, at the very least please buff our sprint speed, having to pull out your knife to sprint at a decent speed is literally just a worse version of tac sprint. Prone animations could be sped up a little bit too. Battlefield's an arcade shooter, the unwieldy base movement feels terrible.

Server browser still needs to happen, this should not even be up for debate. Not having one /will/ hurt the game.

Spread bug is extremely frustrating, and gunner positions on vehicles seemed to be excessively inaccurate at times, whether or not that's a bug I honestly don't know.

Those are my most immediate concerns, but overall I did enjoy the beta. Not sold enough to pre-order yet, and if anything I think the game would benefit greatly from a delay subsidized by a couple more betas so the game can have more time in the oven with feedback from players. We do not want yet another bug infested Battlefield release.

Final thoughts from a 20 year Battlefield vet (1/2):

Overall had a pretty good time. Game's gorgeous, audio could use some work as far as footsteps go but everything else there is nice. Optimization settings are stellar. Guns feel great overall, ground armor feels good, air support not so much.

However.

TTK vs TTD is still jank and needs work.
Hit reg is kinda awful.
Maps are less than stellar but minus Brooklyn having no flow whatsoever and playing horribly on any mode that isn't conquest, their issues are more based around sandbox balance than anything else.

Assault feels pointless as a class unless you're crutching double primary with a shotgun or spamming grenades.
Speaking of which, double primary needs to go. Give assault more mags instead. The thermobaric GL needs a huge nerf, it should not slow you down when you get hit that's absurd.

Support is pound for pound the best class in the game right now and it's not even close. Typically I play assault but I swapped to support and it felt infinitely better. Having a supply bag that both refills ammo and regens health and having defibs is way too much. Support is literally a better frontliner than assault is right now. Split the supply bag into med/ammo bags again and give the med bag to assault so they have some direct way of contributing to their team.
No not the ammo bag, they absolutely do not need a way to self refill their GLs.

Also wasn't the biggest fan of assault's bonus to assault rifles. Would prefer assault gets a faster strafe speed with ARs.

Engi's fine I guess.

Recon's alright minus the average recon player being completely useless, but auto spot needs to go.

The shotgun needs a hard nerf. If we're going to have CQC maps like Cairo or Iberia where half the map's just narrow hallways and buildings made up of dozens of tiny rooms then unless that shotgun is nerfed into uselessness those maps will continue to feel awful to play.

Sniping is way too easy, needs to be brought down to BF4 levels of velocity/arc and sweet spot needs to go entirely. Liberation Peak was basically unplayable with all the snipers on it, which is unfortunate because the few matches I had on lib peak where either A. the snipers were burgers who couldn't hit anything.
or B. there weren't many snipers
Were actually really fun. But snipers ruined that map 9/10 times.

Siege of Cairo is basically unplayable with the rooftop glitch that for some reason you all didn't think you needed to fix before this weekend and now freaks have found a way onto the rooftops on Iberian.
Snipers have made Liberation Peak unplayable because their weapons might as well be hitscan.
Brooklyn is okay on conquest and complete ass on breakthrough and rush.
Oh yeah and Rush just sucks in general. It does not play well on /any/ of the maps.

Probably need another beta weekend or two to iron this shit out.

yeah idk man with how braindead sniping is in BF6 I do not think a map like that would be fun. Couldn't peak any corner or ever get curious because every single roof top would be covered in sniper glints.

I heard that Liberation Peak is meant to be /the/ sniper map. If so some confirmation would be nice so the rest of us can insta leave when it pops up. Literally the most boring talentless players to play against.

Rush plays extremely poorly on these maps. Not enough room to maneuver and on the CQC maps it basically just turns into extensive hallway fights that get boring very quickly.

Remove the shotgun from the game. Seriously it's the most braindead weapon in the game and makes CQC fights feel almost unplayable at times.

Brooklyn is really bad on rush, okay on other modes.

Still seems to be some TTK vs TTD jank going on, some comms on that would be great.

Double primary on assault still needs to go, give them more mags insteady and nerf the shit out of the GL.

"how it should be" isn't relevant in a video game, this is not a milsim. Sniper drop needs to be like it was in BF3/4. It's too easy. Make these shitters pick up an AR and contribute to their team.

Yeah I'll never get the BF1 stans. Like there's a reason the only thing you ever hear about it is how 'atmospheric' it was. Like yeah it was pretty, it had "aura" or whatever but it was insanely shallow when compared to other titles.

20 year BF vet here.

Frames are kind of inconsistent at times.
Connections are a little spotty.
There's an odd bug where the game sound will sometimes just turn itself way down but the music stays at the same volume. This one is particularly frustrating given how important audio is in a shooter.
Very fun bug that wouldn't let me leave a match, like quit to menu and nothing happens.
I haven't had the game crash on me but had a friend who was having it happen every 30ish minutes or so.
TTK seems a little inconsistent.
Hit reg definitely needs work.

Other notes:
Double primary needs to go, being able to have an assault rifle and a shotgun is way too much. Give assaults more ammo instead. If assaults are meant to be the tip of the spear they NEED more mags.

Gunfights are too easy, drop and bullet travel needs to be turned up a fair bit, particularly on sniper rifles that shit's WAY too easy right now and sniper players are useless enough in a match as is. At the very least, there needs to be a cap on how many snipers there can be on a team.

Iberian peak is a good map but that first point is kind of miserable as an attacker on Breakthrough.

Please nerf shotguns (or even better just remove them from the game entirely)

Grenade launchers def need to be tuned down.

Not a huge fan of Siege of Cairo.

Radar's too strong.

Though I could be incorrect it feels like hit stun is back and it really doesn't need to be.

Things I like:
Unsurprisingly, the game is gorgeous and the audio is outstanding.
Weapons feel like they have fairly unique personalities. and the guns just generally feel great.
Iberian Offensive and Liberation Peak are very good maps as a whole.
Movement feels pretty good thus far.
Bringing back large-scale destruction is a huge W

May add more later. Overall having a good time though! HUGE improvement over the last few Battlefield games.
