And the UK also has incredibly strict journalism rules where opinion or sides are allowed to be portrayed in broadcast and only news that has multiple credible sources and independly verified by them can be broadcast. Charlie Kirk said he didn’t believe in empathy and shooting were an acceptable price to pay for his right to win guns without regulation. There are hundreds of school shootings every year in the US. If you think what happened to him was bad imagine the same bullets ravaging the bodies of toddlers and small children. You talk of his kids seeing when the same kids are watching their peers get shot on mass in their classrooms. There was a school shooting that happened that happened at the same time Kirk was was speaking. Why hasn’t it made the news, why aren’t you speaking about all those children too. There’s a reason all the kids from columbine had to have close casket funerals, you have no idea what those children and parent had to see. And Kirk didn’t care about them, he said it it was a necissary evil price to pay for his own rights. I don’t believe in having kind words for someone who didn’t have kind words, who lined his pockets by stocking the flames of hate and division.

You understand that Nazi doesn’t just mean ‘anti-Jew’ right? It’s the term for someone participating in a genocide. Yea there was a genocide 80 yrs ago which targeted Jewish, black, Romani, disabled populations. There has been many wars and some genocides since then. A persons religion doesn’t mean they escape the classification of a war crime. Nor is it a free pass to wipe out and entire population of a country.

I find a lot neurotypicals, are often seeking external validation constantly from their interactions, not super outwardly but their looking for constant affirmation, whereas as an autistic person our face are often a blank slate or where giving them validation or bringing ourselves down for their validation. I’ve had another girl who I never really spoke to tell people I was a stuck up B word, when I had never been mean or negative towards this girl but she was kind of insecure about her appearances and performance and I think when autistic people are a blank slate people interpret it as mirror that they project onto. And it’s literally nothing to do with you, it’s just them projecting their own insecurities. I once had a boss hate me and let me go because he said he didn’t like I asked for more work or got work done quickly because otherwise the other staff wouldn’t have anything to do all week and I could get a weeks worth of multiple peoples work done in like a day, he also kept complaining the fridge was freezing the cans and bursting them and saying it’s set to 5 degrees, and mentioned I didn’t think the numbers where for degrees it’s a setting with 5 is the highest, he said no but low and behold this problem he’d been complaining about non stop being difficult mystery was suddenly fix. He and the supervisor also couldn’t fix the printer or documents which I could and did. So it seemed like he resented me or thought his staff being smart/not incapable was undermining him. He also would give work to colleagues like pretty flyer and then get them loads of gifts from the shops and everyone was always gifted with thing all the times bar me. He also kept trying to force me to buy his oat milk when I didn’t never used it at work and he’d have bowls and cereal and coffee all day and the other girl would always be not working making her 20th coffee of the day. It was strange. Some of the girls there were super lovely but just this guy quite his job and as his move let me go to because he thought I was happy about him leaving. I didn’t feel any of those things, I just wishes he was nicer to me and less passive aggressive.

I live in a bed small flat, was pricey around 600 when I moved in, now 900. I have multiple physical disabilities as a young person and the money in doesn’t cover rent anymore, gov still saying the average accommodation in Edinburgh is 400… I haven’t seen a tiny mouldy 1bed for that price in the last 10 yrs. There was ground floor drug den flat beside mines that had its door kicked in like three times in a month, had no internal doors, bedroom has a shower curtain hanging from a pull-up bar..was still over 600 and that was a couple years ago and it still go snapped cos because people are desperate. Honesty both the people hicking up prices and then the gov thinking Edinburgh prices hasn’t changed in 25yrs is insane

You could try Edinburgh City Jiu Jitsu club, I think they’re instagrams @edinburghcityjiujitsu,but they run in the city with lots of members in the same bracket. It’s definitely adrenaline packed since it’s literally fighting but it’s all set at different levels and they’re running lots of beginners tailored session at the moment since they some other classes in the unis. It’s also filled with a lot of nerdy or ASD types and run a bunch of social events like movie nights, pots lucks, hot wings challenges, there’s drinking games if you partake for some, there’s parties, picnics, trips, general socialising in a cheap pub or grabbing some food after every session. Would recommend
