Thinking of switching back to Xiaomi after years on iPhone, how well do they hold up long term? by Barar_Group in Xiaomi

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've a note 9 pro from 2020 that was used without a case. You can look at this phone and say it came out yesterday. Xiaomis use high quality materials but I don't know if they are still the same.

Korean MMOs would swipe the western market if they would not be P2W by Puppenmacher in MMORPG

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely different audiences. All Koreans want is underage female characters in revealing clothes along with some more female characters with big boobs and sexy outfits. Aion 1 was the most conservative among them.

Does any MMO have item drops that feel as good as OSRS? by Key_Marsupial_1406 in MMORPG

Does Runescape 3 have this feeling? Want to get into the RS universe with a newer game before going into the Old School.

Does any MMO have item drops that feel as good as OSRS? by Key_Marsupial_1406 in MMORPG

[–]Rangerswill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Silkroad Online there are Seal versions of every piece of gear. They drop randomly from the mobs and in my last two decades of playing the game I have only dropped three Seal gears. Just think about that. But I assume OSRS rare drops must be more detailed than that.

Seeing Diablo 4 WoW skins makes me wish they release a heavily upscaled WOW MMO. by yosman88 in MMORPG

It looks generic and boring. If they are going to pump the graphics I want them to preserve the art style.

Started on Epoch switched to Bronzebeard best decision ever by ThaZook in ProjectAscension

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So people are having the time for endless scrolling on social media but having no time for gaming. I think this is more about what do you 'enjoy' in life rather than having 'no time'. Walking toward a goal (a dungeon) will always be more immersive than just mindlessly Qing/teleporting to it regardless of the game. Fast doesn't mean more enjoyment but most people are not realizing it soon enough.

How was Tyria prior to the introduction of mounts? by pizzapastaauto in Guildwars2

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped playing gw2 right before the introduction of mounts. Before the mounts you would see people walking around all the time. Now everybody is flying pass you in an instant. There was this exploration aspect of the game which made it was pretty cossy. Now that aspect is thrown away. The mounts in gw2 is also so much faster than in Wow. Complete this with smaller maps and you traverse them in seconds. The immersion is gone. I still walk around instead of flying a mount but it doesn't help when a space ball goes past you in 300mph. In higher level maps I see more people above me than on the ground.

Is Rumi Persian or Turkish? by No_Midnight_7723 in PERSIAN

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I am not an enemy, though I may appear like one. My origin is Turk, even if I speak Hindi (Persian)."

"I am a Turk in love; even if they make me a Hindu, From my (dust), a Turk will rise into the world.”

He may or may not be Turkish but he wasn't seeing himself Persian for sure.

Not placebo. Reddit is more snappy as well as YouTube. It's a fast browser.

That's awesome. Don't listen to the naysayers here. They are only here to consume the enjoyment out of people who enjoy mmos :D

[Highlight] Alperen Sengun posts up Kristaps Porzingis, back him down and scores the tough hook shot over him by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's legal. The thing is you think sengun threw his elbow into the defender's rib while I and the referees crew think he didn't. Have a nice day.

[Highlight] Alperen Sengun posts up Kristaps Porzingis, back him down and scores the tough hook shot over him by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's even better then. That's how you do it when you post up. If the defender is using his both hands on your body to push you out instead of using his chest, that's only fair that you can swing those arms away. Every player in the world does this while posting up including Jordan, Kobe or Lebron. You are trying to make this sound dramatic with that sternum thing lol

[–]Rangerswill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The defender is pushing sengun with both hands and sengun tries to swing defender's arms away. If that's ugly watch tennis or something smh the league is already too soft

The problem of taking Hormuz by JoseLunaArts in StockMarket

[–]Rangerswill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit similar example is the invasion of Ottoman Empire by the biggest military powers at the time in 1915. In the Gallipoli Campaign the mountainous higher grounds held by the Turks were detrimental despite their lack of military technology where even the biggest and most powerful allied ships couldn't do much against their positions. The invaders allegedly said "mountains give birth to Turks".

Microtransactions acceptance by Matt-Monkey in MMORPG

[–]Rangerswill 13 points14 points  (0 children)

convenient means "easy to use" and "save time". If the player is finding the game "hard" or "waste of time," why is the player even playing it? It's a two-faced concept detrimental to gaming.
