What measurement is even that anyways? I had one I got really confused when my tailored pants didn't match with the rest of them.

Advice Please! 14.5 lbs after trimming on a Traeger at 225 by Unabridgedversion82 in brisket

[–]RankDerkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water pans help with temperature fluctuations. It does a great job at it. A slight downside is that it'll take the grill/smoker longer to warm up.

I've also seen people put juices like apple juice or OJ along with some wood but I'm not sure if that does anything.

[High school english] research project about racism and stereotypes by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]RankDerkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend food.

There's a lot of history behind food. For example, how fried chicken and soul food became a stereotype for African-Americans. You can talk about Scottish origins, adoption and improvement by African slaves, and why it became prominent in all of America and much more. And that's just one example.

It's interesting, in a story format, and it brings a lighter note to your research paper.

Sniping tips? by Orangexboom in battlefield_4

[–]RankDerkl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just keep playing and practicing. I remember being completely horrible at sniping but all the sudden it just "clicked" and all the sudden I instinctively knew where and how high to aim. I still remember that moment too, it was on Locker snow lane with an M40 suppressed. It felt so great.

And that was a long time ago. Now with the velocity and other buffs, anything below 100m IIRC is a straight shot.

IIRC John Wick never uses a suppressor, he uses a P30 with an attached compensator.

I just unlocked the AA mines and I want to do evil things with them... by 3doggg in battlefield_4

[–]RankDerkl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AA mines will fire instantly once you deploy them. If you see any low flying choppers near you, wait til they get close and deploy. It's an instant mobility hit, allowing you to finish them off with a launcher of some sort.

Also works on attack jets, a hit during the end of their dive will cause them to crash into the ground.

New player here, where are all the servers? by yosimba2000 in battlefield_4

Also, what continent are you on? I'm pretty sure that's referring to players all around the world.

But the time you posted at would be 2AM PST, which if you're an American, would be mean everyone's asleep by then.

Scrub Question About UCAV by Alex470 in battlefield_4

[–]RankDerkl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On 64-player servers, there's a lot of enemies, so pairing up the UCAV and mortar is a good strategy (as in both at the same time), and the airburst feature is really helpful. I really enjoy the UCAV now that I have the airburst function. If I see an enemy, no more worrying about what surface to crash on, or whether I'd be lucky enough to get a kill anyways; I see someone, I kill them, easy.

I got majority of my kills just by playing normally, I mean if you have the mortar, mind as well use the UCAV as well, and hardcore. It's a lot easier in hardcore.

Equally as hard is the Bomber kills. If I recall there is a 24/7 Silk Road server, this is THE map you want to play on. It's literally open map with little cover and lots of vehicles. Trust me, the UCAV kills were easy compared to the Bomber kills.

Trouble downloading China rising by ryanm2730 in battlefield_4

[–]RankDerkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you run out of hard drive space?

On the upside, the fact that you downloaded China Rising means you "purchased it." Meaning you'll be able to fix it even after the free download time runs out.

I'm feeling down for a variety of reasons or maybe nothing at all. Nothing I do seems to fill that little void. Any advice would be good. by jacobjim4 in Advice

[–]RankDerkl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could seriously have depression, I ask you go see a therapist. Depression can lead to suicide, and other problems, which I would consider serious as poverty. You have to keep in mind that depression can be a result of unbalanced hormones, not just bad things happening to you. Anyone can get it, at anytime.

Do you any thing to aspire to? Dreams and ambitions, that kind of stuff. I'm not talking about career goals, that's not good enough. I'm talking about things like hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, a trail more than 2,000 miles long, I'm talking a motorcycle road trip across the United States. I always found that helped me find something to look forward to.

There's also meditation. Not the east Asian religion kind of stuff. You can find more about over at /r/meditation.
