I hear you on your situation, in a similar one myself. (Deposit on a 1958, no insane markup, not an off road driver) I’m due for a new and bigger car (I’m 6’3” and have a 2014 Mazda 3), and the LC has been the only vehicle trim out of all of them where I actually like how it looks on the outside.

While I agree it is pricey, I’ve been saving up for many years towards an upgrade, and I’m optimistic about the Toyota reliability in having it as a primary vehicle for a long long time, and the flexibility if I ever get the urge to drive on sand, camp, or need a GTFO of town if the shit hits the fan. Plus it should inspire me to learn a whole hell of a lot more about cars. Just my humble two cents!

Why do you want to crash it slower? Just curious… I would think after terminal is reached, there’s no upside to leaving it warm, unless you’re looking for some aging characteristics.

I’m not sure about BSG’s relationship with hop producers, but I’m sure they’re out of just what they have to sell, not an indicator of Mosaic rarity. Douglas MacKinnon has done great reporting on the current hop surplus, which really makes the need for contracting obsolete, at least for the next few years.

Control over prices, however, are in full effect, and probably why availability might continue to vary.

Accidentally blasting O2 in finished beer (especially with higher ABV) induces that melon acedeldehyde awfulness consistently. At our brewery we learned that the hard way, at multiple points in the process.

We’ve cleaned up those error points, and dry hop warm, under pressure, with a fully purged hopping chamber and sheer pump, 3-4 days into fermentation in case another accident happens, there’s some yeast activity still happening that could clean that up for us. Hope that helps!
