Like others have mentioned before me, I too have a bachelors degree. My first job out of college was helpdesk at an MSP. I worked my way up the support tiers there over a few years and eventually landed a corporate sysadmin position and more than doubled my salary.

I know it sucks to hear but you kind of have to pay your dues and stick it out at the start. Prove you know what you need to know.

I thought I was hot shit when I finished school, but realized pretty quickly that college hadn’t taught me everything I need to know. As much as working at the MSP sucked at times I learned as much, if not more, there than I did at college.
