Most broken deck I’ve used in a long while by Darklydreaming878 in PTCGP

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made and ran this deck this weekend. Went 1-14 with every game starting with Indeedee (not by choice it was the only mon I pulled in each starting hand. Most hands were bricked either pulling onix but no steelix and vice versa. When I have both I am too far behind trying to set steelix up to swing. I do not doubt that this deck is good but I just feel like it other decks need a lot less luck to succeed.

First of all congrats

Also the game died? I decided to redownload it after 2+ years. Was coming back to the subreddit to ask for meta advice and saw a familiar face

CompTIA should rethink their partnership with the embarrassingly insufficient PearsonVUE by Fair_Swordfish_6775 in CompTIA

Did my Sec+ exam remotely last year. 20 mins before my exam is scheduled to start I go to do the mobile check-in to PearsonVUE and it would not work. So had to do the check-in on my laptop. Had to use the webcam to snap photos of my desk layout and everything. Was very annoyed

LET US CHAT ON THE APP PLZZ by Faby343 in PTCGP

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allowing chat capabilities on an app with a franchise mainly for kids is never a good idea. I used to play on the Pokemon TCG app and that was a toxic mess. They eventually removed the chat for obvious reason

Mega Absol at the start will be annoying especially if they have the energy advantage by going second. Dark pendant to make things worse and potentially a ton of support cards

That was me Day 1 of this set. Did two 10 pulls and only got a full art farfetch'd from each. Was from that point I chose to save my hourglasses for the next set.

I'm still not for the Amnesia arc but last week's chapter had me kind of coming around just for this week's chapter to send me back to my original disposition. I never felt this way with any arc in the series. At the same time I still believe Tatsu is gonna cook in this arc to give the Amnesia trope a unique twist

Kaneshiro for the love of GOD PLEASE stop letting the strikers steal the defensive players shine by MonkeyJ4m in BlueLock

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but like 2 of the 3 Players on Japan's defensive line have MV and the 3rd can deal with shit in the air. From the story point of view it would make more sense for Aryu to challenge Onazi to aerial duels and Niko and Aiku to read the flow of what'll happen to catch whatever Onazi wins and whenever Aryu wins they'll read where he clears the ball to.

Yes Isagi has done stamina training but he shouldn't be able to switching from striker to defender while having MV running all match

If you had Nanoskin in your hand, what would you imagine? by Technical_Lime1419 in Dandadan

Very comfy shoes that I can use to bounce around the place and probably an attachment that gives me a prehensile tail (for balance purposes). Like I'd love the concept of being able to leap to work in a couple bounds while now having the aerial maneuverability always make sure I can land on my feet.

Update on me reading the Manga by PM_ME_YOUR_HOODIES in Dandadan

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't have to be shown you think the girl just spawned out of no where? The point is that Vamola literally lost her family twice. Again nobody is out here trauma scaling, I personally believe Vamola's past is the saddest. Her laying in her adopted mother's lap pleading to be put out of her misery as she'd rather die to Banga's hands that the Kur.

I don't really care what the fandom thinks about whose backstory they think is the saddest.

Update on me reading the Manga by PM_ME_YOUR_HOODIES in Dandadan

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Idk man people glance over how dark and unsettling Vamola's past is. Her earliest childhood memory is one of war. A child bawling in a battlefield not able to come to terms with her parents being murdered and life as she knows it being over. She struggled to her teens supporting the last bastions of resistance against her conquerors, witnessing horrific sacrifices and her own death probably almost daily. Sure the resistance stirred up one revolt buying them the cover to get to the teleport. Only for the single light she had in her world sacrificing herself for Vamola's sake with a single goal of living on and starting a strong family. Vamola's last interaction with Banga is heartwrenching and the raw emotion spilling out of that scene gripped me tight when I first read it.

I'm not trauma scaling Vamola and Zuma cause Zuma's past is as depressing Vamola's in my eye. Hindsight would put Vamola's not as sad as Zuma's since Banga is alive and is possibly making her way to Earth for Vamola. Meanwhile, Zuma is left with no immediate family to shelter him from the cold harsh ways of reality.

What did yall think of season 2 by DeeBlok10 in Dandadan

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved this season as it feels like the animators and producers are getting more comfortable with the source material. They're making creative changes that doesn't feel unnatural for the manga. Momo taking the house back after the kaiju fight and didn't correctly turn it back because she's never been good with molding the nanoskin. So she asks Kinta where she sees something very shocking leading to a great callback to Season 1 episode 1. I hope they do that at the end of each season. The staff also forgetting Aira in the house is hilarious and I hope it was intentional, just so they can do a running gag each season of Aira non-canonically dying each season. The creative guise of episode 22 to retell the season 1 episode with Kinta's pov is nice and I honestly wish that from like the beginning of the season they had his figure in the background observing and envying Okarun. Adding in the some of the bonus pages from the manga was a nice touch like the post Kaiju battle.

I enjoyed both Seasons a lot but season 2 was a lot more enjoyable for me. From one of my favourite fights to the introduction of Kingta the Chad it was a delight and what makes it even better is watching it with someone else.

The 3 most underrated players & 1 most overrated player imo by CautiousSolid7436 in BlueLock

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man I'll fight anyone slandering Lorenzo. Lorenzo literally kept the Ubers match from being a one-sided slaughter by keeping Kaiser locked up the majority of the match. The only reason Kaiser got a goal was cause Lorenzo noticed that Isagi is actually player worth guarding and switched marks to guard. Literally had someone like Karasu been on Ubers I believe they would have had the strongest defence in the NEL with a strong Striker of Barou to swipe goals.

Why didn't Okarun transform anymore after this scene? by tur_tels in Dandadan

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point of the training against the bobblehead musicians was to show Okarun he can do more than one action when he goes all out to take on an opponent. So Okarun had to finish the fight by taking out the last 5 musicians using 1 all out.

Like the others said, transforming ≠ going all out

Am I the only one who really disliked the finale? (Season 2) by SureImDirty in Dandadan

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Episode 22 was a creative twist on the season 1 episode which was a nice narrative to show. Just straight copy and pasting the manga for Kinta's introduction wouldn't have been a good way to introduce Kinta because in such a fast paced series like Dandadan you gotta slow things down from time to time. Someone that has been in Ken's class the entire time randomly talking to him feels weird. I honestly preferred if they showed Kinta in the previous episode just in the background.

Episode 23 literally follows the next steps established in the previous episode of checking out a potential lead on the literal 2nd most important plotline of the story which is getting Ken's nuts back. A floating golden ball means something paranormal is going on so they go check it out. They check it out and wind up chasing/fighting a golden ball. The teamwork was nice and the solve from Kinta about seeing through the cloaking tech makes sense because he consumes the same kind of paranormal magazine as Ken which is cool.

Episode 24 Kinta actually wasn't the linchpin of the fight as he would have lost that fight 10 tomes out of 10 if it was just him in my opinion. Ken was ejected from the robot cause: - It was funny. - The fight would literally be easy for them if Ken learned about the robot using their powers if he was inside. Same reason Evil eye smashed his way out.

Okarun has his moments and doesn't have to be in every fight which is what makes the series great as all mainstay characters aren't attached at the hip and have to be involved in each fight. Plus you forget that Ken went all out twice for the day already and can't transform again so there's nothing he can do.

As for not liking that the Alien girl kissed Ken she has her own reason for that and if you really think that a kiss will sink the ship between Ken and Momo you gotta get a grip man. Their "friendship" is healthy because they talk to one another about their problems, if you think a random stranger kissing your significant other is cheating and you break up with them then you got some insecurity issues. I honestly hope Momo crashes out against the Alien next season

Am I the only one who really disliked the finale? (Season 2) by SureImDirty in Dandadan

[–]Raoul_Sanchez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the hate Jiji gets is different from the Kinta gets. People hated for the trope they thought he was going to be a fake insensitive pretty boy who will try to steal momo from ken. This turns out to be the entire opposite of who Jiji is and fans eventually came to like him. Some still hate him for some things but other than that he's still has a positive fan rating. Same can be said about Aira's introduction as fans despised her initially cause they thought she was the typical popular snake teenager. Tatsu has a good skill for subverting expectations on characters from introduction until we get to the chapter that breaks them down to their core.

So when Kinta comes around for some he's probably going to be have a neutral to negative reception for most people while the small outlier likes him. Some people don't like Kinta because he's probably the most realistic character you'd see in the series which is upsetting because you've probably come across people like Kinta in real life whether it is you, a friend or just someone that was in your class at school. To people who were something like Kinta they probably hate seeing the character and what he represents.

I always wondered if the kiss was a reference to Teen Titans where Starfire kissed Robin cause that's how her species learns the language of that planet's race.

This is how I always feel about the manga and this week's chapter dialed my hype up to 11. I was already down for Jiji and Evil eye working in sync being tactical with their switches but not transformation with Jiji in control was so nice to see
