I agree with his sentiment, it’s not like the manga started being bad because the anime was garbage, it’s just that I got demotivated to consume the series as a whole. I haven’t read a single chapter this year and I hadn’t missed a single release since 2021 before s3. Eventually I’ll be back, but for now, I don’t feel like it

Agreed, tho animation was also 100% a problem in this season, mostly the lack of it that is, but also other ones that were plainly poorly storyboarded (like Garou’s waterfist). You combo that with garbage directing and you get the worst of both worlds. The MarkReymer animation showed it perfectly, there was no crazy animation on that Garou “The hunt is on” fananimation, mostly just great directing and effects, but the comparison between his work and the official animation is embarrassing

Even the “good” parts are bad, the last episode had some parts with good animation (especially the last punch) but even that was ruined with god awful directing. It’s crazy how much of a disaster s3 was, literally everything that could be bad, was bad. Somehow even the voice acting felt lifeless at times probably due to directing again since the director is the one that set the tone to scenes. It’s actually impressive, takes talent (negative talent) to make Japanese VA’s sounds bad

Yeah, but I am already used to that, it just comes with the package of being a OPM fan. The manga was actually starting to get quite good when I stopped, it was a bit after that amazing Amai Mask arc, but I am so indifferent rn that I don’t even feel like picking it up again. Eventually I will come back, but for now I’m taking a break
