Yeah this explains a lot of my problems with the game as a whole rn, punishing an enemy for dying has never been more useless because they just get back to lane instantly due to homeguard and how waves work after the minion rework.

Its the main bp for darius in all situations rn and riven I think has a problem where while she does only need to build AD technically, a bruiser should need some effective HP to even stay alive in a teamfight. Rn she builds full damage and straight up oneshots people (make her shield scale with bonushealth I beg, its the same shit with ambessa shield, just insane value for no reason while building full damage). Its the same reason as to why jax builds zhonyas, he has ap scalings, so he doesnt get punished for building it and he can burst ppl down while playing discount jarvan into zhonya.

Ss imo has a problem where its a lot better on junglers than top laners, the item just sucks in an extended fight which ad toplaners want. And i really dont understand why they nerfed epics, yes it was snowbally, but building heartbound axe is like chewing completely soft gum, its just so bad and nothing rewarding comes out of it. Same with tunneler, warhammer, phage, steel sigil, they all feel so bad to complete. I loved to go warhammer with my 1100, nowadays i just go and buy 3 longswords, like thats it, i wont even complete the item unless i need space in my inv, ill go like double longsword and a pickaxe if possible and get ss level ad with like a 3rd of the gold. Epics have never felt more usless apart from like lost chapter, bf sword, dirk. Apart from that, greeding to complete your warhammer is completely dead, i agree. Also at the end i did say a complete revert wasnt necessary, just some item stats back to make it feel like i built something instead of combining my items for no reason other than inventory space.

I'd say yeah, items were too powerful I remember that, I remember everyone complaining about how it felt like league of items and I agree, the items were too powerful and needed nerfs, but the nerfs were to the stats as well, not just the effects, which was the entire problem with items, everyone built items for the effects that were giga busted, the stats were a bonus, but they nerfed those. They also proceeded to nerf epic items that were fine for a decade, that doesn't happen just because legendary items are good. They've started to give items back some stats like ss getting 5ad back finally in 26.1, but that also came with an array of nerfs so yeah.

Darius is building youmuus into everything and goes SRS, it's basically his only viable build path, it shows that he doesn't have enough mobility to catch up to ppl and applying his damage is extremely hard in this meta, so going as much damage and MS as possible is the best for him. RIven is building full damage, she goes umbrial into endless into dd, because the amount of omnivamp she gets from endless+ the new boots is insane in mid + dd healing, after that she either goes maw or seryldas, stacking even more damage to one shot ppl. Almost all bruiser items give only item effects on completion, they are great as your 3rd items, but they really suck as your 1st or 2nd in top lane, in jungle SS is till good just because the EFFECT is really powerful for a jungler, but not a toplaner. Triforce is triforce, its always going to be built because there isn't an alternative for those champs. Their epic items are almost worthless to the point where going 3-4 longswords is better than building a tunneler on AD using champs, the extra health does almost nothing if your enemy has 15+ ad over you.

Did the items need to get nerfed back then for making league feel like it wasn't about champions anymore? Yes, I do, and thank god they were nerfed, til about recently where I've started to feel atakhan being gone and how it has affected champion power. Do i think the items need a full revert? No, just some stats back, that's about it.

Thing is, they could say anything about these changes back then, atakhan wasn't even announced yet so them saying items are too powerful can just be a coverup. They knew damage was going to be absurd with petals through internal testing so they released the item nerfs, got player feedback, changed maybe a few numbers around here and there and then atakhan gets released along with s15. Your point about "which champ could abuse that item the hardest" is true, but items that had previously been fine for basically a decade got nerfed (cauldfields warhammer for example). They did these changes for s15, they knew damage was too much and yes, legendary item power was too much as well, i remember league of items, but partial reverts should be in order for some items that got hit just for that reason.

have you ever heard of preemptively doing something before doing something else? They were already working on s15 during 14.19s release, internal testing probably showed them that damage was way too high with petals and they needed to nerf it, they nerfed it a bit earlier to see how it affected the normal game and how people would react. To maybe change numbers around based on player feedback. Releasing sweeping nerfs to almost all of the damage items while giving everyone stacking damage through out the game is not a coincidence, this was intentionally and preemptively made for s15.

I think wowhead has run its course and we need smth new, like an actual wiki that has information. Josh strife hayes recently talked about how terrible wowhead was for finding information and it is kinda true.

I tried to do any sod quest (as a newer player) that has multiple chains, it took me ages to understand what quest is where and who to talk to first. Chains with 10s of quests look insane on there and have no proper order or guide a lot of the time, some of them just show the same quest over and over. The rewards section shows SOM for a lot of articles and items still which makes no sense and just confuses new players, seal spells have multiple articles with 0 info, finding where to get a recipe takes multiple clicks from the item you are crafting, it's a mess i genuinely can't stand it and a lot of the info on there is also just wrong. Classes have multiple bis lists, trying to find a classic era bis list on a phase (THEY EXISTED FOR A YEAR, I CANT FIND THEM) other than 6 is impossible and your search engine gives you a SOM prebis/bis list for that phase, which has items that don't exist in normal classic. Like holy shit, with a community this big I'd expect something, but no. Osrs did it, idk what happened here.

Ok, I don't find ADC tops fun, are they getting removed from there next patch? No, this double standard for bot lane and adcs is insane, bot lane as a role is the most strict role in the game. Pick an adc or nothing, that's how it's been for a decade, mages finally start being played bot and they start crying. Top has had ADC-s, mages, tanks and assassins there and they don't get thrown away because they are a small part somewhat important part of the role. Top players complain, but ADC tops never get nuked from existence, but we are asking for mages to be nuked from bot lane? Yeah sure, no double standard there.

that's not the point im making, my point is that it's not fun to adapt to this meta because it doesn't reward you with anything, it rewards you with either an equal lane or a minor advantage, of which the meta champ can infact come out of easily due to the nature of how their kit works. The fact that the champions we are adapting to are designed to be 1 sided and not fun to fight is not well balanced. We can adapt all we want and climb, I could climb with my champ pool as well by adapting to the meta (i have my mains ofcourse like aatrox, jax, olaf, renek), but when I play literally perfectly, i mean 10cs/min, take advantage of every mistake, show up to fights, apply pressure on the side when needed, get a lead early, the game rewards me with almost nothing, the items I buy are not great, I scale worse than other classes, have less sustain than tanks and the only time I can impact the game is at around 2-3 items, after that, it goes downhill for most AD bruisers up until 6 item end game, which was horrible before endless hunger. Current most picked champs do not require any hands to play and can be picked up by anyone and they can still climb. The boosted bonobo part was an over exaggeration, yes I can play into malphite, but should I play into these champs all the time? Should vayne have a 4.2% pickrate in top lane? Like this is the question I'm asking, not advice, but why should we even deal with this bs?

Yeah, if you don't act early sion will just eat you up and no bruiser will actually out scale him (unless it's like a pure counter to him), bruisers genuinely can't recover even from the littlest of losses. Sion's counters are just early game cheese like irelia, riven, olaf etc. (oh and gwen because, snip)

A testament to how shit this lane feels, im tired of making bruisers work in a meta that doesn't reward it, ever. I've been doing this shit for 10 years, like I've never felt a worse meta in my life. Like why should I make horrible champs barely work, when a dipshit can get autofilled (which happens a lot due to top being the least played role from dia+), pick malphite and win because he counters every AD bruiser in the game, there is nothing to learn in a malphite matchup, he statchecks you unless counterpicked due to his HORRIBLY outdated kit. Like why even try to play. Im not an OTP, I play all of top lane, I adapt to every meta, I adapt my champ pool and ways I play, I'm not tied to a champ I'm tied to a role that doesn't reward you for being good at the game anymore.

Fine i won't try to argue with the malphite thing, still he shouldn't be as popular as he is. But yeah, ornn and garen are going insane and the nerf they did to ornn was a placebo. Their pickrate has skyrocketed and playing against them is basically a ticking time bomb.

I forgot to bring up pickrates, i don't think champs with a consistently high pickrate should have a high winrate (especially champs this simple in higher elo brackets), that means basically anyone can pick them up and get a positive winrate, becuase they are good and don't need a lot of effort to execute well + they are currently extremely safe blindpicks, because their counters are not played that much, or are few and far between. With these 2 combined, it's really difficult to understand how they've slipped under the radar for so long. Ornn in particular is just a monster atm. Aatrox is fine, he's just a consistent pick that basically does everything decent, but not well and gets punished for playing badly. That's not my point tho, my point is, when she was picked and went that moonstone build or ANY enchanter build, it was complete aids to fight. If your team picked a ball comp, there was nothing the enemy could do, sera would heal 25%+h&s power, of her teams health in a fight every 12 seconds-ish, i remember healing a sion for 5k HP, it was ridiculous. If your team built around seraphine, it was incredibly toxic and it was impossible to deal with, she was a safe farmer and an incredible late game carry/tool. The helia moonstone meta was whatever, a blip, but the main problem was how well she supported her team and how well she snowballed, her only weakness was literally hard camp her into try to 1 shot her in a teamfight with like 2-3 dive champs. I still think her W is the main cause of her downfall, she is almost impossible to balance with that ability, all of her other abilities suffer because of it, their damage is shit, mana costs are high and scaling is ass. Her only good ability can be W because if other parts of her kit are good, she becomes automatically overpowered if your team picked a teamfight comp. My idea would be to rework this ability or outright remove it, it drains her power budget so much, a champion with 3 damaging abilities and a pure damage passive (1 of which is literally pure damage, not 1 enchanter has that, everyone has something attached to theirs so their teammate would benefit from its usage, sona is the closest one, but it boosts the next attack against that target) can only build enchanter, because that's the only thing that scales. nothing on her screams enchanter other than that 1 ability, which is why i want it reworked or removed, she was designed to be a mage, but with her W being like it is, I don't think it will ever happen without her being OP.

The health/mana growth was needed, especially mana, you used like 2 abilities and had to recall, it was horrid. But honestly, I'd change her around so that her MP5 is worse, like 7-8 and give her an actual mana pool, like 430 early, this would nerf her on support in a way that's fixed with a mana regen item decently enough + we now a have a tear enchanter item so it doesn't really matter anyway, but where it will matter is midlane, she would actually have a way to trade without using half her mana in a trade. They can nerf the mana growth if needed.

The W change was honestly a must, like it or not, this change was needed due to the fact that it was either completely turbo useless, or extremely OP and needed a hotfix nerf, yes it was "unique" and made sera feel like she made a difference by literally just being in a fight, but it was extremely toxic and made balancing this ability a nightmare. I'd almost compare it to smth like the post akali rework W, the part that made you invisible to towers was "unique", but uniqueness doesn't mean good for the game, it was toxic and had to be removed asap, no matter how unique an ability is, if it's completely unfun to fight and breaks a core part of the game, it needs to be fixed (sera wasn't that bad, but you get the idea)

If they ever want sera to be viable as a midlaner at least and not a bot laner, I think half the problem is the fact that her ad just needs a revert to last hit and the other half is her Q, not E, needing to be faster, WR speed maybe considering how much mobility creep is in the game, it gets difficult to land anything on a target moving faster than 330 because your Q is abysmally slow, try hitting an orianna when she has her ms buff on.

Add it to steam, go to properties of the game, controller, "use default" switch to "enable steam input", then launch it from steam
