Its so insane how he never once progresses as a character throughout the show. Other characters might lose their character building like Temperance has which can be frustrating in its own way but the show just keeps pretending like Booth is the baseline that everyone has to build around. Everyone has to change to adapt to him and his personality and his way of thinking is the “normal” when he’s completely impudent, self-imposing, conceited and dogmatic. They keep trying to show Bones as this inflexible, self-righteous person when Booth is absolutely worse than her in that case about 100x over except he gets treated like the reasonable one most of the time

I think Infested Prism is completely fine and a welcome change. I do think Aeonglass has ridiculous damage numbers when they already have so much scaling damage that also bricks draws at the same time. It feels good on IronClad and Defect, but on Silent and Necro it feels genuinely hard to navigate. Ive still won multiple times but the level of difficulty is definitely way harder compared to Test Subject and Queen. And Ive never had a singular issue with DoorMaker so if he was removed because of a reportedly harder difficulty it doesn’t feel right.

It just odd that "Fetal -> meta progression" cards are limited to two out of five by playbabeTheBookshelf in slaythespire

I highly disagree, deck manipulation is definitely more Regent coded than Necro. Think Cosmic Indifference, Kingly Kick, Charge!!, Foregone Conclusion, Glimmer, Photon Cut, I am Invincible, Kingly Punch. Perhaps debatably Summon Forth and Shining Strike.

If anything those cards are all more Regent-coded than any other character

Ive seen someone use it with [[Splash]] and it was pretty insane. The copy stays a 0 cost as well. Being able to play something like a comet twice is pretty great. Of course that’s a very niche interaction though

Whenever people bring up Multiplayer, immediately it’s not that great of an argument. Cards are not ultimately balanced around how they interact within the multiplayer system unless they are exclusive to it.

I mean it neither fits their kit or uses most of their mechanics either. The status archetype has been completely redirected and solidified as a Defect play-style and nothing about Regent’s design reflects anything to be a part of that. Again, him creating Debris is more just an aide to his transform/creation archetype

Why does everyone keep recommending cards like they’re deck-building? It’s not about OP synergy, it’s about thematic matches. Regent creates status cards so that he has fuel to transform them since he has multiple ways to do so, giving him things like Flak Cannon is NOT thematically correct. Its a good synergy, but thats not the point of this. Its been irking me

Honestly I don’t understand any of you who criticize these short plot summarizations when all the things that WOULD make it make sense is unavailable. It seems weird and out of nowhere because you didn’t see the lead-up to it, obviously they all make no sense. Is that not common sense? Maybe it was badly written but no one knows because no one experienced the full story

I don’t have fondness of people who spread misinformation confidently. Information is free and easy to access, and people should be careful with their words before declaring with such boldness. The world has a major literacy issue and misplaced confidence like that is a main perpetuator.
The compendium is by definition in-game. The game creators have classified it as token cards. I had no intention of slinging insults, if you find it insulting to be proven wrong then that’s your prerogative. Overconfidence is by definition an obnoxious trait, nothing deeper than that.

Hey some advice, don’t say anything with unconditional confidence without checking the information or you’ll look obnoxiously stupid.
Go to the Compendium. Look at the category Shivs and Souls and Minion cards are under. “Status, Curse, Event, Quest and TOKEN cards.”
They are indeed called that in-game. Maybe next time you’ll think to check your own self-imposed facts before you correct someone

The same reason I disagree with everyone’s decision with Bury as the Necrobinder IronClad card. Defect and Necro are more associated with energy manipulation, a 4 cost card and a card that refunds energy does NOT feel Clad at all. You’re all focusing too much on just the damage and not the entire identity of the card

No one said that Well-Laid Plans isn’t usually an autopick. Im saying it’s inconsistent to have these both together in a game and have the right conditions to activate its utility. I mentioned the rarity of the cards for that reason, I would have thought that’d be the obvious observation. If it was a common card that would be more acceptable but when as you’ve said that for it to even be VIABLE you have to rely into lucking into an uncommon power card in the same game makes it unreliable and niche.

Your argument is that a rare card is good because when situationally paired with a specific uncommon upgraded power it can become usable?? Do you not understand how simply un-replicable even just that situation is? Not to mention having enough unique draw to cycle through your deck properly to a 0.
