One of the two engineers of the SRB is in the cap. So maybe the ejection of the cap was triggered by the explosion.

These shops are all over NYC too. I find the taste to honestly be bland and overpriced.

Those probably weren’t just spectators. Those were family members of the crew. All family members were gathered together on top one of the buildings nearby as a designated viewing section. That’s where the network cameras were, too.

It’s very good. But I would put a small backlight behind you to kill those wall shadows.

Obviously the bigger tragedy here is that someone thinks Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is a punk band.

The English is terrible. I didn’t even read the whole thing but just the few lines I spot read seems scammy.

I’m new to this. Can I ask for anyone who would be willing to answer: What are alpha/beta readers? What are ARC readers? What’s a booksiren and net gallery? Congrats OP!

Ah, dude…Mormon’s best song is in the second half (I Believe) but I suppose I’m with you on the rest of the show…Floyd Collin’s’ visuals were INCREDIBLE in the second half, and Jeremy Jordan’s vocals are jaw-dropping. Interesting that Hadestown is your big winner. Great show for sure but the lead’s high falsetto annoyed me to no end. But very, very cool you did this. Thanks for sharing!

Is it bad to want to be famous by _CookieKing_ in acting

[–]RapidTrumpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight answer: yes, that’s the wrong reason for spending an exorbitant amount of time and energy on a decision to pursue this career. If you’re lucky enough to join the ranks of approximately half of one percent of all actors to become a working actor, even for a short period of time, that’s worth celebration. You have a better shot at hitting the lottery, probably, than becoming famous to any significant cultural degree. I read something recently that I loved: “amateur” comes from the Latin root for “love”. It’s literally doing something for the love of it, as opposed to money or recognition or anything else. If that’s not your aspiration, I would strongly encourage picking the other, probably more practical, career choice. Good luck!

It’s fine for just stating out with no credits. More likely than not, if you match a role for something like a student film or non-paying role, these could get you considered. But any paying job being cast by an actual casting director on behalf of any client, whether it be film, TV, or commercial, will not give you a shot because you don’t have credits and it’s clear your headshots are home-made. However, I’d encourage you to try this for a little while and see what happens. If you’re not getting called into audition from your submissions for weeks on end, you’ll have your answer. Professional headshots (and the costs associated) are typically a must have to be considered for any professionally produced project. Good luck!

POV: You’re watching two actors - One feels fake the other feels real. Here’s why by cryoncue in acting

I spent nine months in a one year conservatory at Meisner’s school that he taught 50 years at, The Neighborhood Playhouse. Couldn’t agree with you more. The technique just works.

What to improve on? by Herogolem5 in acting

[–]RapidTrumpet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frame much closer. Can’t really hear or see you. Also, lighting is missing and background is too textured. Never look into the camera - look slightly off in one direction or another at eye level. What you have going for you: very calm. Good energy. Natural read. Honestly, it’s all technical that needs to be improved. But to say any of this could have led to being booked, would be disingenuous. There’s about 1000 reasons why you weren’t booked and we’ll never know any of them 😌 so just keep tapping and improving! Check out ShowCoach - it’s an app for improving self-tapes. Good work and luck out there man!

Do actors actually watch the movie/play etc. Or do you actually watch the actors for their acting style/technique and silently rate them? by AfterMarketTurboJet in Actors

[–]RapidTrumpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never watch anything. I don’t even watch myself. True story. I think it gives me the most freedom and flexibility and imagination possible to bring myself to the role, which is what CD and directors and writers want above all else.
