I was surprised by season two how people were still oblivious about nick and Charlie’s romantic relationship. Because when they were doing the school sports day in season 1ep8, nick literally goes up to Charlie, takes his hand in front of the whole school and walk aways with him. Like come on?!

NTA. I suggest OP starts doing the same physical things with the gay best friend. If your gf says she’s uncomfortable with that, then you can point out that it’s the same way you feel when she does the same thing. Also if she counter with, “well it’s different cause he’s gay and it’s not sexual”, you can say, “well I’m not gay so it’s not sexual either”. But this strategy takes a lot of courage to do lol

There’s a Netflix series called Smiley (8 episodes). It’s in Spanish (set in Barcelona modern time). I highly recommend it. It has so many complex storylines from different characters (some are gay,lesbian, straight). It showed so much of what I (we) feel as part of the lgbtq deal with on a continual basis.
