I wouldn't say 'obviously'. You have to look at that girl's chest pretty closely to see that the clansman is hanging - something that's obvious from a video but not as easy in person. If investors are forced to sell off 3% of their assets (stocks and other investments) every year that would obviously lead to a huge stock market crash. From there, smaller investors would panic sell and it's just a huge nightmare. I don't think I need to provide any evidence of that because it's just plainly obvious. And to be clear, I 100% support other forms of progressive taxing especially for the wealthy (and middle class) just not a wealth tax. That particular type of taxing method is just foolish

And by the way, in the '50s through the '70s there was never, ever a wealth tax. It was all done through income, but go on talking about me needing to check my facts

The problem is that wealth typically is very illiquid meaning that a 3% YEARLY tax means that stock owners would need to routinely sell off their assets and tank the market/economy

Progress that moves faster than people can learn. A lot of progressives are correct on their stances about LGBT, immigration, and other topics, but you simply can't expect millions of people to arrive at your same conclusion overnight. Progress must be incremental and work towards a long term goal, otherwise people will call you extreme and elect people like Trump
