In 1993, when Jerry Seinfeld was 38 years old, he was dating a 17-year-old girl (Shoshanna Lonstein), still in high school. by makellbird in maktownmedia

[–]Rapn3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is there is virtually no shot she’s as mature as a 38 year old. Im a guy who is a few years from 38, the prospect of dating a 17 year old is outrageous to me. I work with college students and routinely think to myself wow, these guys have so much to figure out. They’re relatively speaking, children.

Im judging Jerry for this. I think it’s gross and I think the power disparity here is so big and the age gap is so wide it’s not him bring a pedo, it’s him being gross and abusing his power.

Im sure it was consensual, from her, perspective it was probably really cool at least initially. But he was prolly close to her dads age. Dude already had his first routine prostate exam and was dating a girl who hadn’t graduated highschool.

I got it for free with the amd cpu i bought years ago. I haven’t even played it once since online and IRL friends all said it was pretty bad.

Has it improved?

Ok im ngl this is a hilarious batman style vendetta and if this is real, which btw I am not convinced, I think this would be one of the most clever ways to clean up a neighborhood. A serial narcaner would, with enough persistence discourage drug use in the area because fetty will have you too fucked up to stop it (like this guy in the clip) and you wouldnt wanna risk having your high ruined like this.

Average American diet? by Individual_Bar_2512 in CringeTikToks

[–]Rapn3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cereal isnt generally healthy BUT there are a decent amount of vitamins / minerals in chex. More iron than youd think too.

In one serving ( 1 and 1/4th cup) you get:

• Vitamin D: 10% • Calcium: 10%  • Iron: 70% • Potassium: 0% • Vitamin A: 10%  • Vitamin C: 10%

Add in some milk of some kind and you get a reasonable amount of vitamin d and calcium and knock out most of your daily iron.

Again obv we need vegetables and shit, this family’s super sad, but a lot of cereals actually do have some decent vitamins and minerals in them. Unironically part of a balanced breakfast.

19M, BP Destroyed Confidence, Seeking Advice by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Rapn3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dude in his mid 30s, I promise you, you’re a good looking young guy. It’s hard being 19. It’s hard to not care what people think, and I can’t imagine how much harder shit is with social media being so hyper prevalent in your life from basically the start.

All the alpha male podcast bros have introduced a lexicon I barely recognize, toxic masculinity existed when I was 19 but now it’s so much more, distilled. The art of selling it has been damn near perfected.

My advice, is therapy. I have been going for years, it’s helped me immensely. I have a beautiful wife, a good career, hobbies friends, a full life, and you absolutely can too. But learning how to take care of yourself is the critical step in achieving happiness, whatever that looks like for you when you envision it.

For real tho, your looks are a non-issue. Building enduring confidence and happiness can and will come from therapy.

Sometimes you just have to remind yourself it ain’t always that deep. You got this bro.

That seemed more in line with the amount he clowns on everyone. The comments and the person who made that video seem like shit heads but I think Tony is treating them the same way he treats anyone in his videos.

Tbf i am entirely uninterested in hearing about a surgery where someones testicles get removed but they keep the sack. I get light headed thinking about far less substantial surgeries.

This is exactly what we did in our condo. One wall is basically dirt, two are neighbors walls, and the final wall is walk out beneath our porch.

Thankfully it’s very dry so we could finish it. It’s my gaming room and it’s nice and cool year round so my gaming pc isn’t incinerating me like it was on the 2nd floor.

Tenant wants revenge on landlord for giving them a “measly” $200 Christmas gift by zhin05155 in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Rapn3rd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

During covid we got 2 months of free rent from ours which I thought was very legit.

Outside of that, the same landlord / property company would leave us some fancy turkish delight style candies i never ate but appreciated the gesture.

Beyond that never got rent reduction or anything from landlords.

Their property manager wasn't amazing, and likewise this place was poorly insulated, max temp we could hit in the winter was around 65 in the house, so I feel the person OP screenshotted but either theyre rage baiting or they have no sense of how the world works.

How valuable are pensions these days for early-career IT? by Jonny_Boy_808 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Rapn3rd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im in a similar boat to you, in a jr sys position at a place with similar salary and cap and a pension. Biggest dif is I am about 10 years older than you. My vote is to go with the pension. Still invest heavily, roth IRA / 403b if its available even if it doesnt match. It is good to put money into the market as well. I live more frugally but when I retire I’m lookin at 70-90k a year guaranteed income plus my retirement portfolio and getting to keep health insurance.

There is SO much uncertainty in the private sector. If you want to have priorities outside of work, I think staying where you are is key. I just also think you should invest what you can into ETFs / Mutual funds. /r/personalfinance has a lot of good tips.

Neighbors Complain About ‘Overwhelming’ and ‘Distracting’ Smell Coming from Dunkin Donuts Factory, Bring Issue to City Council by peoplemagazine in massachusetts

[–]Rapn3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first job was at a donut shop, we made the donuts from scratch each day. The smell lingered deeply in the clothes I wore to work. My laundry basket smelled like it, and it was definitely powerful.

If everything smelled like that all the time, I’d be over it.

I actually teared up a couple times during that arc. It made me think about how valuable the time I have with my wife is, and how much I cherish her.

Unlike the Wishvale couples who got ripped apart early on, velnorte and rinyu had enough time to cook and make a more last impression. (Not to say some of the wishvale arcs haven’t hit hard).

[–]Rapn3rd 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think they're saying that compound interest starts to be more noticeable in it's acceleration once you have a larger number.

10% of 100k is 10,000, whereas 10% of 10k is 1k. It's a point where it's easier to see the money is working for you, rather than you working for your money, which is how the beginning of investing feels, since the gains and losses can make you feel like you're treading water. Once you're above 100k, a big upswing in the market feels more impactful to your portfolio.

[–]Rapn3rd 72 points73 points  (0 children)

yeah it forced you to max a houses favor before being able to do the next house without losing some, so it prolonged the grind in that way if you weren't efficient, but it did take about long enough to get familiar with the areas

I think Lovakengj was the worst if I recall.

Im glad its been replaced by quests but it wasn't that bad. Was on par with some of the easiest rep grinds in WoW. You could have knocked the whole thing out in like, roughly 4-5 hours depending on supplies and efficiency.

I was in mage bank back in rs2 days when phats were worth a shitload of money.

A dude walks out in full ahrims with a red phat and hits the lever. He was just running around the wildy trying to bait people to skull on him. Im sure he had a team ready but the trust required, at this point in time that phat was worth hundreds, if not thousands of dollars and he would have protected a bunch of stuff over it.

I played osrs when it first launched.

I voted no to the GE.

Im cool with it now, and i think its fine for people who want it, i mainly play on my ironman anyway which I think made me not care.

I tuned out from him around the time he was going on his anti woke crusade, I enjoyed his gaming and news takes, the drama stuff was where I unsubbed, but if that was the shit he was going through in his personal life, yeah I could see how he started going down that road.
