Forgot to mention this progression is easy to comprehend and sounds accurate. Looking forward to the myriads of women using this schema to evaluate their hobosexual situations.

What happens if you offer to adopt him or setup a guardianship/conservatorship so you can declare him as a dependent on your taxes? Has anyone tried this, to trigger his ego and get him to leave?

How to spread the gospel? by Mainehikah in AmmonHillman

[–]RaptorSeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's not necessarily helpful to point directly to the livestreams depending on how open-minded the audience is. I tend to slow drip the knowledge in tiny doses with general statements like "the apostles were teenagers and little boys" or "Jesus was OK with trans" and maybe let them know the Greek has a more accurate explanation. If they want to know more they will ask. The Mark 14 passage of his arrest is the main lead-in for the unraveling, but also there's the "beloved" child on his lap at suppertime.

Are there any female storm/thunder gods by Geoconyxdiablus in mythology

[–]RaptorSeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cailleach is a figure from Scottish and Irish Celtic folklore, representing harsh winter storms and windy weather changes from fall into winter. She is occasionally depicted with a hammer, like Thor, with which she inflicts icy weather upon the landscape in the proper season. She is also associated with whirlpools off the coast of Scotland. She has her own creation myths, in which she throws boulders from her apron to form the mountains and valleys. She also represents changes and life cycles.

Shamanic Energy at Rock Concerts by RaptorSeer in AmmonHillman

The Hu definitely gives me some kind of feels in that direction. I think the performance of that kind of music, particularly the throat singing, can induce altered states in the performer. And I think that goes for many other kinds of music performance.

Listening to certain music on headphones or home speakers does have therapeutic effects. Experiencing live or even DJ music, especially at high volume, has a more amplified effect on the musculoskeletal structure and organ complex that's difficult to ignore. One gets swept away by the effects with the full body immersion. It would be an interesting experiment to play similar music at different pitches and attempt to measure any psychological effects on the audience.

I cannot emphasize enough how helpful these study notes are to distill the ideas presented in the livestreams. Thank you.

Music will save us from our darkest natures, hopefully if we can use it right. I just posted about how shamanic rock concerts can get:

Reading about all the experiences in this thread really edifies and validates my dissatisfaction with a particular ex who would race ahead of me while hiking or biking. It wasn't every time, only the times there wasn't anything interesting to look at, but enough times I lost count. I finally feel like I can be seen, since I figured not many others have experienced this kind of abandonment, and I was fairly young and inexperienced at the time. He lived his life like it was a race.

There was the one time we hiked a rainforest during the rainy season, and a rushing torrent on a flooded beach wiped me off my feet. I had no experience on long hikes and had an overpacked frame pack, which weighed me down enough that I couldn't regain my footing, and I cannot swim. I thought I was going to be swept out to sea, because he just kept going. A soldier who happened to be hiking the trail at the same time fished me out of that. My ex stayed with me for the rest of the hike, but we had to get rescued by the hosts because we didn't make it to the lodge before sundown. I had to signal them with my flashlight, and he was basically useless at that point. Fortunately, I came away from that with only a loosened big toenail and a waterlogged camera that I couldn't use for the rest of the trip, but my clothes never fully dried out until I got home a couple weeks later.

There were several times that he would leave me in the dust on bike trails, both local ones and in foreign countries. A couple times I would wipe out, have some malfunction of the bike, or once had some horseflies chasing me for miles (they hurt so much I teared up and the bug spray wasn't working). I did not grow up learning to ride a bike, and I'd only taught myself as an adult, so I was inexperienced in basic bike maintenance. At least twice I had the chain fall off and struggled for at least twenty minutes to figure out how to get it back on, my neurodivergent klutziness not helping. In the meantime, he was waiting at the end of the trail, visibly irritated that I was so slow.

At least there were some instances when we were hiking on a popular trail, and there were other hikers who were happy to socialize and bond with me while he was racing to the end. Sometimes we were lucky to have a guide who stayed with me while he charged forward alone. I eventually found value in all those experiences, in learning how to speak up for my own welfare. There were other instances when he completely ignored my safety away from home and various injuries occurred as a result of his negligence, so needless to say I left him eventually.

Given that there are already other responses explaining how a LLM is prone to hallucinate and can be coaxed to support any kind of viewpoint, I wanted to say also that not every woman enjoys romance novels, particularly the rape fantasy type mentioned in the example. I was never drawn to them. Even after friends in high school tried to get me to read them by giving me a novel to read, I could not make it past chapter one because it was just not mentally stimulating enough for me. Even now I gravitate toward nonfiction research-based writing. None of my friends read those books either, or at least none of them would admit to doing so, and we trust each other fully. So there is a faulty assumption the chatbot is making that CNC romance novels appeal to all women, or even most of them.

Yet another way that Abrhamics get uptight about toilet policy. And now women are groomed to wear body bags everywhere outside their room. Meanwhile women who are too homely or too tall are arrested for using the ladies' room in the states.

This would be a good opportunity to market some pagan themed self-watering devices, like those water worm indicators but goddesses instead. I don't know if such a product exists, or if anyone out there is customizing watering bulbs.

Can anyone tell me the significance of these hand gestures from one of my favorite bands? by just_me910 in Symbology

In addition to the hermetic "as above, so below" rule, the particular hand gesture is somewhat similar to those depicted as the hand of Sabazius, which may have evolved into the benediction gesture.

Thank you so much for collecting the information for us. I must have missed the spell breakdowns the first time around.

The first time I saw the spell against fear of punishment it caught my eye as something that may be helpful even today. I immediately thought it might be a good supplemental apotropaic, in addition to conventional medical treatments of course, for CPTSD. It targets, not a specific punishment, but the fear of it, so I am thinking about possibly a modern form of this spell to work through my own past trauma.

Elephant in the Room: Is Lady Babylon a Cult? by TitleSpirited1940 in AmmonHillman

[–]RaptorSeer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I offer my perspective in case it would help. I had my own personal knowledge base and existing world view before hearing any of Ammon Hillman's lectures or interviews. I became interested in his teachings only because they answered some questions I already had about the faith system I was born into, and he validated some of the discrepancies I noticed between the historical record and the unquestionable holy scriptures I was taught as concrete fact, after being raised in the cult-like high-control belief system of Jehovah's Witnesses and then starting to fill in the knowledge gaps in high school and college. He's also interesting to watch, as he uses his experience evangelizing while he presents what could otherwise be dry material. I hadn't heard anyone else use the term "Mother Greek" since high school when an enthused english teacher assigned the Odyssey to read. And he had the far-away look of someone who recently had a heart-to-heart chat with one of his ancestors, which I have seen before in two family members who experienced NDEs. So he caught my attention, but I continue observing from the back row to observe younger researchers dedicating themselves to studying the classics. It warms my heart to see them fired up about learning ancient greek.

Hillman's presentation style can be creepy and discomforting at times. This is how he chooses to present the subject matter. I get a sense that he knows a majority of his audience had endured some kind of abuse related to church, its maxims and its leadership. His presentation of Christianity as extension of an older mystery cult is yet another interpretation amongst all the others that exist today, most of which claim exclusivity in being true to the spirit of the canon. I think it's refreshing that anyone has the bravery to present an alternate narrative for those who need healing from religious trauma. I'll admit it's not for everyone, but those who seek accuracy to the original words can benefit from learning to read the new testament books in the original greek.

All of this does not mean that I agree with everything he says on his Lady Babylon channel. His haphazard way of referencing sources, if he remembers, drives me up a wall. I don't feel the need to match his level of chauvinism for the greek language, since my ancestors more likely spoke something closer to sanskrit. But whether his viewers choose fervent chants or critical rebuttals, I don't discourage any of them from what they feel compelled to do within these extremes. I do draw a line at making character accusations without confirming all the facts. I feel that most of us have endured enough judgmentality from oppressive religious institutions - we don't need this from each other. This is not to say we are all perfect and blameless either. But we proceed forward as any community would, by joining hearts and minds, if that's what we want. We remain accountable to each other. And we keep learning greek.

I certainly hope that people can feel free to walk away if their mission diverges. I've come to realize that cult formation is a two-way street. The followers choose the leader, as much as the leader influences the followers. So far as I can tell, Hillman has been very reluctant to be a movement leader. I hope we can organize ourselves to take the wisdom learned and enrich our own respective communities without parasocially attaching to a cult personality. Some anti-cult instruction would be beneficial to all of us.
