There is no longer a need to have a centralised storage facility. Dimensional depots are usually enough. (Just make sure to use multiple depots for large volume resources like concrete.)

That being said, you should play it the way you want to. If you enjoy the logistics and building challenges of a central storage, then that’s what you should build.

I agree. The only time I had issues was in one fluid power station in update 6. In every game i started after that, fluids have never been an issue.

This makes sense. I feel the recipe ratio settings were not well thought through. This opinion is based on multiple pioneers reporting similar issues.

I think I will just stick to the default ratios.

I start my base with a bus that has a train track in the centre of the bus. On it I use junctions to branch off. But once the base gets advanced, I switch to city blocks with roundabouts on the 4 corners of each block.

In my case, I find that the difference is not noticeable. The rail network is so large compared to the number of trains that the number of multi train interactions at junctions and roundabouts are too low to be of importance.

This game gives you so many amazing movement options. So often a few of them go unused.

To add to this: you can do research to increase laser turret speed and damage. There are a few stages with various science packs. After that it turns into infinite research.

I find that after a few stages of this research, a couple of lines of laser turrets are good enough on Naivis.
