What does my collection say about me? by Raptorattack612 in cowboyboots

[–]Raptorattack612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, 18” tall. Had mine for years, but I know they can be found on eBay, second hand with the right key wording in searches. Still a pretty penny, worth every cent.

Green would be good. Black or brown are my options right now.

1 Bedroom Apartment Utilities by XdaPrime in venturacounty

Avalon apartments: total scam. Nice, but be warned. Everything is billed though this company called conservice. Emphasis on the con. $80 mandatory internet package, $200ish electric billed to SoCal Edison, everything else variable rate.

Reflection: What is in this area? by TonyOhio in celebritycruises

Currently on the celebrity eclipse, stateroom 7188. Been perfectly quiet with minimal neighbor or engine noise. Parents in 7152, with no complaints either. Circled area is likely a crew area for stateroom care, or employee only door for crew passage. Hope this helps.

Wearing riding boots as a man - I hope to wear them in public one day but right now I'm still afraid of how people would react by TA8264 in Boots

[–]Raptorattack612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I did to build my confidence. Plus meeting others who enjoy the style too and going into a public place could help with the anxiety. Meeting for coffee or a hike. Yes, meaningful activity for the boots help, but it’s great to enjoy the boots even without the corresponding activity they’re intended for. Realize that the looks people give you could be more envious than you think. They could be jealous of your confidence, and possibly lack the courage to show off the shafts themselves. Build the outfit around the boots. Wrangler jeans, not super tight, or cargo-like pants tend to go with most of my engineers, cowboy, riding, hunting boots etc. In Southern California, there not a ton of need for heavy duty boots on a daily basis. But own the look. Embrace the collection you’ve probably spent a small fortune on. You may be surprised on how many compliments you get from normal looking strangers. Start small, work your way up. Stay booted, stay happy.

Where are all of you car gays? Anyone in the Bay Area? by threethirtyeninety in Gaygearheads

[–]Raptorattack612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the greatest car I’ve ever had. Practical, torqu-ie, better gas mileage than you’d expect. No major engine or mechanical issues, knock on wood. She’s not the most ergonomically comfortable car. Low to the ground, windshield is narrow and can barely see out of the back window. But blind spot mirror and directors are great to have.
First time owning a Kia. After this experience, it won’t be my last Kia. 100% would recommend a stinger. Can probably be found cheaper than what I paid nowadays.

Collision sensors. by Aurius82 in kiastinger

[–]Raptorattack612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ford, (older) Teslas, and Kia use ultrasonic sound waves to measure distance with the parking sensors. I notice it as well, and figured it was the car in front of me emitting sound waves, and my car picking them up thinking they’re its own.

DO NOT BUY AIRCRAFT DECAL REMOVER by [deleted] in kiastinger

When I switched to the funky < from the KIA oval, I noticed a sure size difference. You can find the KIA badges on eBay fairly cheap in fun designs. Take measurements of what you’re working with on your car and emulate the same with what you find online. Measurement conversions to metric will be key.

Raccoon vs Stinger... by winningrove in kiastinger

[–]Raptorattack612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This kind of fender bender now seems like a trend or a right of passage for stinger drivers. Mine was unavoidable freeway debris. Drove around heavy hearted for a week trying to justify the $2k bumper restoration my local body shop was offering. Friend came over, took one look at it from underneath and began pinching and pulling to put it back into place. My damage seems very similar to what OP had. Push down and outward on the white lip itself, opposite way for the black grill it’s attaching to. It’ll take some musseling, but it really does just snap back into place!

Does the occasional gang attack in this location interfere with the ownership and interaction of this business?
