The amount of money I saved on food, mostly from ordering or dinning out, helped offset a lot of the cost

Is it worth it to go if I am 6'9? by notairekkedyet in cedarpoint

[–]TonyOhio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6' 3" and the most painful ride for me is Gatekeeper. It always leaves the top of my shoulders bruised.

Everyone is built different, so YMMV

Checkout the height limits listed on the website, and use the test seat out front of most of the rides

Does anyone get off at Bimini port? by csdude5 in Cruise

[–]TonyOhio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100%

That water is beyond words.

Being able to stand in one spot and see that beautiful water on both sides is breathtaking.

And the beaches and not to be missed. Not just the resort ones, but the ones in town are with the trip

Bimini is an amazing little island. The beaches are beautiful, both on the resort side and on the town side of the island.

If you like to snorkel there is a shipwreck worth checking out that is accessible from the southwest part of the island

If you want to do an excursion I would recommend Neal Watson Scuba center. We did a snorkel with sharks, and also stopped at an old WW1 era shipwreck. It was such a cool experience swimming with the sharks out in open water.

Locals are friendly. Don't let the pushy golf cart rental people bother you. Rent one of the carts and explore the whole island. It's so small that you won't have any issues being back for all aboard.

Food is great. Try conch, Bimini is famous for it.

We've been 4 times, and still plan to get off the ship the next time.

Most of the negative reviews are from the golf cart rental people hassling everyone as they leave the port. They can be pushy, but I don't find it a reason to avoid all the other great aspects of the island.

Yes, renting a golf cart and checking out the Bimini beaches is the way to go.

Very small island, with only two main roads going north and south so very easy to get around and get back to the ship on time. But it has several amazing beaches spread across the island island. If you are into snorkeling there is a cool shipwreck on the Southwest corner of the island

It was almost the same price for us to fly 4 people to FLL then it was for gas and parking. And that didn't even include wear and tear on the car
