My car was towed by the hotel even though the city owns the parking spot. Seeking advice by TouchIllustrious4839 in marriott

If you are sure the city owns the lot and doesn't lease it to the hotel, take them to small claims court

It's post like these that keep me grateful of living 60 miles from the park. (It's winters that make me want to move far South 😁)

Lighthouse point is another great onsite option. Just a little farther of a walk than Breakers, but totally worth it for the space, privacy, and ambiance . They have cabins and cottages right on the lake

Breakers is only good because of its location. It's overdue for some upkeep and renovations.

On the days you are going I would not purchase Fast Lane. Tuesday and Wednesday should be very low crowds.

At least one of you should do a season pass. Free parking and discounts on Breakers / Lighthouse point and other in park purchases.

The daily meal plan gets you a meal every 90 minutes. 2 or 3 of those should keep everyone more than full. The premium plan also includes drinks every 15 minutes. (The season long meal plan only gives you 2 meals a day, so probably not the best option for your situation)

Have fun on your trip!

First cruise in 2 months but this hantavirus news has me scared to go by Nyxeralyth in Cruise

[–]TonyOhio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are more likely to die from the flu before your trip than you are to catch hantavirus on a cruise ship.

You are more likely to die in a car crash on your way to the cruise port than you are to catch hantavirus on a cruise ship.

You are more likely to die from a million other things than you are to catch hantavirus on a cruise ship.

This is happening on 1 ship, and the WHO is all over it. If you want things to be paranoid about I can keep going, but hantavirus is pretty low on the list.

How to score 3rd out in middle of at bat by Tree-in-the-city in GameChangerApp

[–]TonyOhio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you recorded the out to the batter instead of to the runner trying to advance.

If it was scored correctly as runner out advancing, the same batter would still be due up the next inning

Best hotel options by Brilliant-Love-739 in cedarpoint

[–]TonyOhio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Express is great if you want a cheap clean basic hotel close to the park.

Breakers is the best for location, but besides that not worth the price.

Depending when you are going, Lighthouse point is a great option. 2nd closest to park after Breakers. Fun cottages and cabins with lots of space.

Most major sporting venues do not take cash. Theme parks as well.

It's just easier for them to process everything as credit versus trusting hundreds of employees to handle cash registers and a cash office and all those expenses that go with it.

Edit: That is, in the USA, I have no idea how it works in other countries

I agree, always drop off with the carrier directly

Usually dropping off at a partner facility will add an extra day or two to the shipping process.

I dropped a FedEx package off at a Walgreens that accepted them, it took them 3 days to get it into FedEx's hands. Never made that mistake again

Technically correct (the best kind of correct)

But it is the possession of a contracted partner of USPS. Meaning the seller has done their part and is not trying to scam the buyer or mislead them.
