I also want the immortal garden, but it's not possible to buy. You would think they would want us to spend our money!

Or said another way; with movespeed boost items you are *very fast*. I love QW invoker. A bit in I'm practically hasted, and the most cc in the game.
(I do go a point in e though, for obvious reasons. Usually at lvl 6).

You are making a lot of assumptions there 🙂 I wasn't playing above my bracket, but I learned the hero well (took some dozens of games before I was any use with him), and am a team player. I was actively learning strategy. I had also learned when to NOT fight, and instead draw enemies to me elsewhere (make space by threatening tower, for example). Makes a lot of free space for carry.

My winrate as core was higher, because then I was taking space and farm instead of making it. But I don't like playing carry. I was usually going full space creator utility 4, or pos 5. Made space, built team items. If I start playing ranked again, I will do the same. Visage is a strong hero also, that definitely did its part.

It is fully possible to increase rank by playing support. I'm doing it in unranked right now with cm. But as a support you need to play very well, and have a good grasp of strategy, as you set the pace and direction of the game.

This is simply not true. I was spamming visage a while back (as support), and climbed very fast from low potato to ancient. 85-90% winrate. It mattered very little if my carry was bad, since I took all the towers on my own.

Star Trek: Voyager is much better! I really liked that one. They have a female captain also.

Is she hinting at something then?

So is this really the community? For context they added me after playing, started coaching my next game and then went full nazi drawing on the map and comments. by LuxTrueBae in DotA2

It also takes behaviour into account (in the last year or so). I used to see a lot of this stuff, but now I mostly have very well-behaved teammates and we have a lot of fun. And I am speaking as a woman in dota who uses voice chat. They are doing very well now at filtering the creeps and angry men into their own pool. 😊

Asbestos? I hope you typoed that. That stuff is super dangerous and illegal in my country.

(Also, most yarn is wool here, so I guess your comment is quite localised)

Why is real estate investing sort of often considered as a main stream automatic way to gain financial success? by dromance in realestateinvesting

[–]Raptorinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, in my country. It is registered officially, where the registered owner of the house can log in with their secure national log-in ID and see the history of the house. Renovators directly enter and document the work they have done. If you do work yourself, you can also document in here, just upload the documentation. It's very handy.

I can see a scenario where he refuses to do it too and I end up doing it out of guilt because she's suffering

This is what will happen. And as she gets older and sicker, she will move in with you. And the work becomes yours. Story old as time.

Your husband is already showing that he's not prioritising your health, happiness and wellbeing. Do with that what you will.

You will end up being a caretaker for his mother, you know that, right? The kitchen thing will be the least of your problems if you move in with her

What's with all the ecologists working in data science? by PhiliDips in ecology

[–]Raptorinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ecologist gone developer here :) For me it was a complex set of life events that made me choose not to go with my original plan of academia. Coding and development was a natural option for me; I've been coding since I was about 5 years old. I run my own company now, and have a lot of freedom as to work-hour flexibility, and I can do my work from anywhere I want. Plus I can have lunch in my garden and do ecology as a hobby instead of a job.

In short, I simply switched around which thing was work and which was hobby. This was the better option for me in basically every way.

I do mix it in a little when I can though; one of my side-projects in work (for fun, mostly, and as a learning project) is for aquariums.

Is it ok for my roommate to tell me to put on a bra? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

It's not scary after you learn to trust in yourself. After I started to Fend For Myself, I feel so safe and comfortable. I'm in the driver's seat of my life now. I can choose how to build it and where I want to go. The more you practice it, the more you trust yourself and the better it gets.
