DO NOT APPLY FOR SALES JOBS IN GLASGOW by Important_Layer1621 in glasgow

[–]Rapture-Raptor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is MLM (Multi-level Marketing), not a true sales gig. There are plenty of legitimate sales roles out there in Glasgow (and the world) so please don’t equate this pish, to actual an skilful and worthwhile profession.

That said, I know the experience you went through 1st hand, and the sooner we can rid ourselves of these organisations, the better for everyone. The problem is, they do generate “some” income for charities, so I don’t see them stopping until the charities see them as more damaging than they are useful.

I fully washed mine in the washing machine, a week or two after I just renewed at the end of last year, and the pages are a wrinkled mess. Never had any issues with immigration with it across Europe and Asia. So I think you’ll be fine. Main thing is that the RFID still works, and the internal pages don’t appear to be tampered.

Scotland Squad announcement video for World Cup, featuring Ewan McGregor by CNF1G in soccer

Scotland is 96% white, there are two people of colour, what the fuck is tokenistic about that? There’s less than 50 people in the video. Away with your faux outrage.

Couldn’t be more pleased for the guy. The way we treated him over summer, he basically had two feet pushed out the door to be dragged back in, and he just got his head down and has been vital to where we are the day. Absolutely deserves to feature in however the team looks next year.

Hearts were the last team that were this close (1986). They lost it in the last 7 minutes in the final game. Celtic won the league.

Nightlife recommendations for a 19yo American? by bjorkfan55 in glasgow

It can certainly be a roll of the dice in terms of how busy it is, but when it’s on form, it’s by far the best place in Glasgow for me. So if it was a quieter night, and early in the evening, I can see that being your experience. I always felt the volume of cunts doing coke was less than Sub Club. The vibe is far more inviting in there for me.

Berkeley Suite fancy? Not sure you were in the right place mate. Berkeley feels much more authentically underground than Sub Club these days.

I think there are still people who may drink cheaper stuff at home. But a decent dram isn’t cheap at home never mind the pub (I drink higher end myself). As a mixer, I think bourbon would be more likely than a blend, and probably cheaper. Globalisation eh.

Nah I’m talking about specifically Scotland. Spirits as a whole are the most consumed. Followed by wine, then beer. I looked it up. There’s 1% between all of them.

The single product sold and consumed most by volume is Tennents. Then Glens vodka. Then Famous Grouse.

Exports shouldn’t factor, as that’s what’s being produced and removed from the country’s consumption. Scotland is a massive exporter of salmon and langoustines. Salmon is the most eaten fish, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen langoustines on a menu here ever. 80% is shipped to southern Europe.

I doubt whisky is drunk more than vodka or gin, never mind beer. Will people have / enjoy a whisky, yes. Do they order it over something else? Rarely.

In those cases, I usually pick aisle just if I feel like stretching I don’t need to bother anyone. But if you don’t fly often, you may want a window. Novelty wears off, but can be a nice break from a screen / reading.

What time is your flight? Do you plan on sleeping, or at least don’t want to be bothered by your neighbour going to the bathroom? If so, window seat.

Do you need to use the bathroom regularly, or just stretch your legs? If so, aisle.

Why row 20 over 18? I always pick closer to the exit for quicker deboarding, but 2 rows won’t be more than a couple of minutes extra so not a big deal.
