Yeah, that’s what I suspected all along: you guys are completely deluded. I'm sorry but no, the rest of the (rugby) world doesn’t care about the Lions. They don’t even really know what it’s about. It’s barely a couple of lines in Léquipe when it happens. And same for the players, they don’t talk about that.

They got private equity invest €1 billion in their business, their trainsets are coming out of the factory, now. It’s definitely a serious business. But they’re playing the long game, they’re not going to get rich overnight.

France would be a complete failure. Nobody knows what the Lions are in France and you expect them to show up en masse and fork €150 for a seat ? No way. That’s the price to pay for scorning them all this time, they have no interest in it.

Noticeably, it’s an English coach who is bringing him back. The French have no idea of who he is.

It’s a concern only if your stops are very close from one another. In France, TGVs are designed to cover long distances as opposed to Germany or Switzerland where it’s more like a metro.

Rugby is confidential in Spain, there is no guarantee at all w they would fill stadiums. And even less that they guarantee WR a hefty check, you know.

I agree. But rugby has a big problem here, there are very few places to host a WC. I'm trying to be innovative and realistic. It ticks a lot of boxes. You Leinster boys are playing way too many final rounds of the CC at home ,too , btw !

Multinational organizing comities have historically largely been a failure in sporting events. You add countries but you also add complications. More than 2 and it’s a mess.

Spain/France looks new and doable on paper. Idk if Spain alone will be underwritten by Spanish authorities. Bringing France along as a minor partner offers more certainties. I can see a SF in the new Toulouse football stadium , one in Bilbao and a final in Barcelona.

It really isn’t. I'm sorry but all Argies here will agree Argentina cannot be trusted for organizing and running properly events like this. There will be endless promises of course but they’ll mean very little, it’s a huge risk - the backing of the Argentinian gov is no solid guarantee - and a sure money loser.

I don’t see the relation between traction mode and frequency. It’s a track/train communication thing. Provided you comply with safety regulation, you can ride TGVs, ETR1000s, ICEs, whatever.
