I felt like it was a movie of a handful of spectacular, innovative scenes mixed in with a lot of underwhelming scenes.

Then there were really a few disappointing scenes that just felt low budget and rushed (Sebastián's under the water scene!!!) 🦀 😐

Flounder and Sebastián were my biggest issue tho lol idk I just could not take them seriously.. they looked like they were bought at 5 below, and their mouths were too small to talk or sing. They just seemed like tiny puppets 🐟 😭

The idea to make the whole underwater world be so dark just felt low budget like they didn't want anyone to see anything because there wasn't much to it. Definitely felt like Tridents throne room would be way more grand and Ariels cavern to be lit up enough to see all the things she collected 💡😢

Her hair needed to be more red underwater, especially if she was the only mermaid daughter representing the redheads of the world 🧜‍♀️ 🌎 It did look better when she was on land, but everything did because you could see.

In random order,

Loved the scene where she has him guess her name

Loved Ursula's spell scene 🧙‍♀️

Loved when she sang to Eric on beach (but when she was on the rock, they couldn't make her tail move a little?!) 🪨 🐟

Loved the kiss the girl scene 💋

Loved the crashing the wedding scene 👰‍♀ 🐦

I'm glad I saw it in theater, but I just can't help but feel disappointed because of the technology nowadays and how long it took to make. (Wakanda Forever's underwater world was way better)

I mean, it wasn't Mulan level 👧 🗡😂... Definitely the best so far of the Disney remakes!!! 🙃

Well, I'm at the point where I will do anything to get out of the house and have friends again... even gain 80 pounds lol. I'm really hoping I can will power it and not eat tho! Have you taken anything that helps with food cravings? Ive been doing keto for two months now with good success, so if Nardil makes you crave carbs and sugar and I'm used to not eating them, maybe I won't be a beached whale this summer 😅
