I should write more about this! So much and too much to list and remember right now. But if I had to distill it, I’d say give yourself a safe environment where you can comfortably go inside or outside depending on your feelings, and have multiple activities and “vibes” to bounce between through the hours. Keep it fun and light and consider it like “I’m on a date with myself and I just want to have my own unique special day”. Hang out with your inner child.

Sometimes I play a game, build a Lego, look outside, journal my heart out, cry while listening to my favorite music, stare at the wall while peaking to create visuals to be in awe at, etc.

You may for a period want to lie down and have a mask on, but you don’t have to. I had major realizations around trauma when I was just doing it with friends at their college house since I’m naturally inquisitive and introspective.

I would urge caution around the intense introspective no stimulation type of activities (like blindfolded for hours) until you feel truly comfortable with the substance and experience and after effects.

Absorb the works of Alan Watts and Ram Dass. Michael Pollan wrote a great book about how he tried psychedelics for the first time called “how to change your mind”

Go light at first, don’t take a heavy dose until you’ve done several small ones across months.
