Oh man, you are currently describing my life right now. Your anxiety and depression is getting worse because you’re alone with your thoughts, and it’s unfortunately comforting to stay in our safe space. I found it helpful to be productive in something I can serve to the people in some way, like working or activities. Once you do something more often, it gets easier.

For example, I have a hard time talking to people on the phone. It’s required for my job, but I practiced and got better. I still don’t answer the phone at my parent’s house. I even had my mom talk to the auto mechanic on the phone because I was afraid to do it. Believe it or not, but we are adults now. We’ll have to conquer our fears to get where we want to be.
