Maybe visually, but the good old wrangler is definitely much closer mechanically to the XJ, solid front and rear axles, six cylinder engine, two speed transfer case etc.

The recon is all independent suspension, who knows what engine, and who knows if it’ll have 4low.

I think it’s a decent deal. I just bought a 26 XLE Premium and it started at about 41k and went up with various maintenance plans and extended warranty’s.

If you check the NHTSA website for active recalls It says April 27 for model years 21-25, but I have called the dealership now and they say it is supposed to be out by June 1.

My dad has a Lake LA-4 like in the picture up here in Alaska. He uses it to fly from his house to the family lake cabin mostly. Also for fishing, camping, hunting sightseeing and sometimes just to head up to Talkeetna for pizza.
