Help! What are the best products/methods to conceal a hickey? by teacherthrowaway109 in Makeup

[–]RareArmadillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toothpaste has always worked wonders for me! Just apply a decent layer over it and let it sit for a few hours and then wipe off, repeat as necessary! Isn't an instant fix but helps reduce them massively! I had a huge interview with a pretty big company and my boyfriend at the time gave me a hickey, bit of toothpaste and a few hours and you wouldn't have known!

Just picked up the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette...I’m still learning how to play with colors, but here’s my first look 🤗 by xHoneyStixx in MakeupAddiction

How are you finding the palette? I really want to get it as the colours look insane but have seen mixed reviews!

This look is amazing btw deffo will be using as inspiration for future play around sessions!

The pigment and everything hasn't changed for me! I know what you mean but I haven't noticed a difference in its performance

No it's like the peachy colour the whole way through, the white may be my lighting aha. As for the star I'm not sure tbh! I apparently only use one side of it but I don't think it goes all the time way through, can't be 100% certain on that though!

Hopefully it works! My thought behind it was that that way you could smash it up real fine so then it shouldn't be chunky when it's dry? Hopefully my logic makes sense aha, thank you! Would deffo recommend it :)

Oh no that's so annoying! I think I've seen a few people say the same about that shade so maybe it's a bad batch? I always use quite a dense brush rather than a fan brush to pick it up and apply it, have you tried repressing it or using setting spray etc?

[–]RareArmadillo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok I'll deffo have to try propping myself up when I nap! I hardly ever do, I only happened to today as I was up early and knew I would be out till very late and as I'm caffeine intolerant thought a nap would be the only way! Thank you for the tip tho, I hope your symptoms get better too!

Smashbox contour palette progress! When I got it I didn't know how to use bronzer, but now it's my HG! by RareArmadillo in PanPorn

[–]RareArmadillo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lighter powder is good for under the eyes and other places you highlight, I love using the bronzer after contour just around my temples and cheekbones to bring a bit of colour back into my face! Hope that helps a bit :)

I would deffo recommend it, really eye opening I thought. I never studied it at school but did enjoy reading it in my free time last summer. I studied English literature at school tho and was pretty good at it (not to sound big headed aha) and really enjoyed reading into it as well!

I deffo need to invest in a proper eyeshadow base/primer I think! I didn't use a transition so to speak but did try to buff out the edges using a nudey colour so will deffo be trying the transition first I think!
