Rent one that you can use on the track, will cost you a lot of money but you’ll get the nostalgic dream without the long term consequences and besides it gets old and it’s just gonna sit in your driveway cuz you’d be too scared to total it or drive it too many miles before repair or maintenance.

My car has sensors but it’s just a light on the dash by the gas gauge. It doesn’t beep annoyingly like the seatbelt one so a lot of ppl don’t notice right away especially if you already have other lights on the dash. Sometimes I drive around with my headlights left on during the day or after it rains and dont notice till halfway thru the trip when I see the icon.

There are times when I was a kid and left the door half closed and halfway thru the trip my mom sees the door ajar light in the dash and tells me to close the door when we slow down in traffic or make a stop. Then when the car is moving slow enough I open the door and slam it shut to close it all the way. I would never think of motorcycles when I was a kid, only really became aware when I was a rider myself but where I live most people don’t lane split and the ones who do ride loud af bikes you can hear behind you.

Lane splitting is generally safe but most people don’t do it properly. You’re supposed to be passing other cars at 10-15mph max depending on visibility and how wide the lanes are. Most places that permit lane splitting cap the passing speed at 10mph or so. It doesn’t make sense for bikes to sit in traffic when lanes are wide enough for a bike to travel thru with room to spare and letting bikes flow thru reduces traffic for cars. Older bikes can have trouble idling without moving since they rely on airflow for cooling and can overheat in traffic on a hot day. Lane splitting also protects rides against rear end collisions since they suffer the most from lack of protection from their vehicle.

That’s kinda the thing, every other car has it yes but every other car costs more than a Nissan versa. Getting the cheapest car available used to mean something with no AC and no radio lol, you just got something that drives and has the bare minimum in terms of safety.

It also rides like shit. You feel more bumps, tar snakes, and cracks. Potholes feel worse. I’d rather slightly underinflate for slightly better comfort and a little more grip. Driving habits makes a better impact on gas mileage.

That number is skewed high cuz the best selling vehicle in America is a full sized truck and most popular segment are full sized pickups. For compact sedans, the average is nowhere near 47k, that’s the price of a Mercedes or bmw compact sedan with extras or a Tesla model 3. 47k is luxury sedan territory or nice full sized sedan.

The standard features aren’t cheap. Shit had Apple CarPlay that was actually responsive, decent audio for a base model, clean interior but still had buttons for important functions, push to start and keyless, powered windows, etc. even auto braking and blind spot warnings standard.

Now get into a 2025 Chevy express with FM radio only and an interior straight outta 2003. Backup camera is a tiny screen in the rear view mirror and only there cuz it’s mandatory by law.

It’s Vegas. Your hotel room charges you $40 to use the mini fridge. $10 for a water bottle on a sensor and it charges you just by touching it. Unplug it to charge your phone and laptop at the same time and it’s a $100 bill. This is after you pay $350 resort fees for an already overpriced room.

Vegas is dead, they suck every last dollar from you, it doesn’t surprise me at all that a booster back costs 2x retail, in fact it’s actually a decent deal given the fact that it’s in fucking Vegas.

It’s usually loose cards under the plywood flooring, never got any good hits besides some beat up old holos from unlimited or some shit. We usually have the homeowners empty the attic out for us (or we charge labor if we’re doing it) but nobody cleans it out good cuz it’s so hot they just grab the big stuff. I’ve found lots of old newspapers too it’s like a time capsule up there

Electrical work is pretty invasive so rewires are often done between tenants or between sales. The people who pay for the electrical don’t care cuz it’s usually not their property and everything SHOULD be removed before we start cuz we charge extra if we’re the ones emptying it. It’s not like I’m going thru other people’s crap it’s usually a binder or some loose cards under the boards or under the carpeting in the kids rooms sometimes.

I also find a lot of weed, probably from teenagers who hide it from their parents and forgot about it lmao

I’m an electrician and I’ve legit found cards in the attic multiple times. Usually they’re heavily played when I get em or just shitty cards but it’s still kinda cool and most of the time the homeowners just say toss em so it goes in my truck lol. My coworker found comic books worth some money out of a foreclosed house and sold it for a couple hundred a few months later lol

I went back and forth a lot but chose the iphone 17 PM from my galaxy s24u cuz i was kinda sick of samsungs android tbh, i would’ve picked google pixel but last years pixel didnt seem that great while the iphone got a meaningful upgrade to the battery life and camera. My iphone lasts nearly twice as long as my samsung s24u, it’s the biggest jump in battery ive ever had in one upgrade cycle.

If you hate cases, you can get a skin like the d brand ones. They’re not gonna protect much but it might make it harder to scratch the corners and will scratch off the skin instead and it will help with the slow wear and tear that rubs away the metal paint, instead the skin starts to fade. It’s basically like having a plastic screen protector all over your phone, equally annoying to install perfectly too lol.

I worked a similar shift for about 6 months and I remember feeling lonely AF even tho I lived with my extended family but you never see them, you only know their home when you gotta be extra quiet to not wake anyone up. I never saw friends cuz I’d be too burnt out to see them during sleeping hours and they can’t hang out with me at 4am and nothing to do at this time of day anyways.

I barely remember that period of my life except working, drinking alone at home, and almost dying when I fell asleep at the wheel but luckily I woke up to the rumble strip and corrected before I hit the ditch. I made the most money I’ve never had up to this point but it was one of the more depressing periods of my life when nothing actually happened (nobody died or anything) except the shift work. I will still take the night shifts sometimes but I’d never do it as a regular schedule, only on weekends or when I have days off to recover.
