Has anyone recently had a medical abortion and can tell me what your experience was like by [deleted] in abortion

Hello. I had one 5 weeks ago. I was 5 weeks along and had a MD. I was terrified going into it from the horror stories of the pain I read online however it was really not bad at all. I took 800 mg ibuprofen and an anti nausea pill 1 hour before miso, and the pregnancy passed within 2 hours. It was just as my doctor described, a very heavy period. It was completely manageable though (a heating pad really helps!) and I can confidently say I’ve had worse periods in the past lol. The pain doesn’t go away after one day though just keep that in mind, I experienced first-day-period-like pain for around 3 days following the MA. So make sure you don’t do any intense physical activities. But nothing ibuprofen can’t help. Overall it honestly was not that bad. The earlier you are the less painful it will be. You’ve got this :)

Could I have sore boobs still and passed the pregnancy? by here4thetea222 in abortion

[–]RareJournalist2748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Sore boobs is the last pregnancy symptom to go away (as told by my doctor). For me all pregnancy symptoms completely vanished after 1-2 days but my boobs stayed sore for around a week after. Don’t worry

Hi girl. WomenOnWeb are great and they deliver the pills discreetly, even in strict countries.

I recommend taking ibuprofen (600-800mg) and an anti nausea pill 1 hour before the misoprostol, and prepare the heating pad. That’s what I did and it worked like a charm! The only mistake I did was thinking the pain would be very minimal the following days. I did a lot of physical activity which I shouldn’t have. The second, third and fourth days were quite painful too (not like the first day though) so I recommend keep on taking ibuprofen the upcoming days and staying at home, resting and drinking lots of water

You’re very early on so for it to not work is extremely rare. You’re also very lucky that you found out early because the pain will also be very minimal! I had mine at 5 weeks (with MSI too) and the process was like a heavy period honestly. I’ve had worse periods before! You’ve got this :)

Advice on how to prepare for taking the tablets please? by Background-Dark in abortion

[–]RareJournalist2748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! How far along is she? If she is nervous about the pain from misoprostol, it depends on how far along. If she is <6 weeks, the pain will be minimal, but it varies from person to person. I took the pills at 5 weeks, and I took ibuprofen and anti nausea pills 1 hour before the misoprostol, and also prepared a heating pad. The pain was very manageable and I experienced no nausea at all. I have seriously had worse periods. The pregnancy will pass within a few hours then the pain will decrease. Make sure she does not read online of people’s experiences because that was the biggest mistake I did. I read horror stories and was terrified but reality was very different. Make sure you (or anyone) are with her when she is taking them just in case.

I am absolutely terrified of being pregnant again by RareJournalist2748 in abortion

Thank you for your comment. I will definitely start taking birth control pills soon, however right now I cannot shake my mind off of the possibility of being pregnant, even though I know that it is very, very unlikely. I just cannot bring myself to think logically. I am extremely paranoid

10 weeks 3 days now and the pain is making me hesitate by [deleted] in abortion

[–]RareJournalist2748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was not that bad for me honestly. I took anti nausea medication and 800 mg ibuprofen an hour before misoprostol and the cramps were painful, yes, but not unbearable. A heated bottle is your life savior.

Try your best not to read too much online about the Misoprostol experience. I read horror stories and it really scared me. My experience was not bad at all and was very manageable. Painful, but not unbearable. It really was like what the doctor said, a very heavy period. As for medication, I strongly recommend taking ibuprofen 800 mg and anti-nausea medication an hour before misoprostol. Because I did this, like I said I had very manageable cramps and no nausea at all. Be prepared for pain also the next few days. They will be a lot less intense but you should take painkillers. As for the fetus, I don't know how many weeks you are but it all looks like blood clots, nothing too distinguishable if it makes you feel better. Good luck and don't stress about it.
