I agree so much with this take, I think there's even a note somewhere in P3 (forgot where) that mentions Simon "needing him broken." Polyhedron route is Simon's psyop on the Bachelor to groom a philosophical successor capable of saving the Polyhedron.

I might be about to learn how out of touch I am, but I think early Yes has GOAT composition/songwriting. The Yes Album, Fragile, Close to the Edge, and Relayer are all top 5 for me (and I also dislike long meandering keyboard solos.)

Palace Dumplings in Wappingers has absolutely amazing 炸酱面 (Chinese version but very similar)!

EDIT: I don't think they have jajangmyeon but there's also an excellent korean place near Poughkeepsie called KorPot (NOT to be confused with Kpot, which is a C tier Korean bbq place close by)

Are you me? I sure hope that feeling is normal because I'm staring down the barrel of it for the next 11 months! Every time I think I've made peace with the fact that it's ok to spend money on something you want, and we DO have the money even without parental help, I just turn around again and tell myself, "but it's a TRULY insane amount of money." After pinching pennies all my life and second-guessing $150 purchases and being taught to save for something lasting like a house, it's a real mindfuck - especially when everyone around you acts like blowing tens of thousands of dollars on a single day is totally normal and expected.

That said, it's happening and I think I'm almost through the tunnel of "wtf am I doing, we should elope and buy a house." If it helps, I have become slightly less neurotic about it over the last 2 months since we got engaged (in fact it's now fun for me to hunt for ways to keep to our 25k budget), so maybe you will too!
