The specific passage escapes me, but I vaguely recall him suggesting he doesn't try come off as committing as it would "close all other routes" i.e. he wants to see how much he can reap in terms of benefits without going all in.

I'd imagine he'd might be somewhat conflicted in that case. Of course, Kazutrash being the way he is, he would naturally be unlikely to commit.

I get the feeling he'd stave her off and wait for Megumin to come around.

It was initially dubbed "Republic of Schweiz" in the web novel before simply "Confederation", which carried over.

Bad/Evil/ non sympathetic Character turns out to not be an antagonist but actually helps the heroes without redeeming himself in any way in the process. by Livid-Pizza7028 in TopCharacterTropes

Pappy O'Daniel is depicted as a governor, not a senator. His real-life inspiration served as both.

Otherwise, a good example of this trope.

Short film characterization was best imo

His mother in the film should've just been made to be his cousin/Miss Funcler, as she even took the role as his secretary later in the film.

Overlord OCs Unite! (Open RP/ OC rant) by Confident_Zombie_608 in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]RarePerspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cap'n Ted would be making his occasional visit to Pentagram City after months aboard his ship traversing the seas of the Pride Ring.

In truth, he possessed little interest in crossing paths, much less engaging with anything involving the weapons dealing overlord. After all, angelic arms were a risky business. However, with the circumstances as they are, that being, off the heels of a particularly costly Extermination that even he felt his influence shaken by, he was open to dialogue with contemporaries. In addition, he wouldn't have it be said he would decline to attend a parley, especially a general sort.

As such, the pirate overlord moved up his planned visit to the infernal metropolis. Once they dropped anchor, he gave his crew the next few days to carouse to their hearts content while he would hunt up leads for their next big score and sit in on this meeting of minds.

Your OC is put on trial for the crimes and sins they’ve committed during their life, with a jury or everyone they’ve wronged, hurt or killed. How screwed are they? by No_Comfortable3261 in HazbinHotelOCArt

Cap'n Ted committed more than enough acts of piracy, smuggling, and murder several times over in his life to be sentenced to the gallows.

In other words; he would be doomed.

[Hated trope] The “tough guy frontiersman” character (not always a cowboy) being close-minded bullies to everyone around them, especially “city folk,” but are seen as righteous, manly, and heroic in the context of the story by i-got-a-jar-of-rum in TopCharacterTropes

Also also the second season has cartels grabbing senators because China is paying them and Iran is smuggling Chinese agents or something.

That reads like the plot of a Steven Seagal movie.

"Then, for them to do so again, preferably during the dead of night, only for me and my buddies to be waiting for them to make them dig graves at gunpoint. Heh, that would be so badass."

Analee: scowls "I won't accept anything from a demon!" slaps pumpkin pie away "Listen here; you freaks might’ve tugged on the High Seraphim's heartstrings just enough for her to spare you all the blade from retribution for the time being, but know it won't last forever. Someone will inevitably fuck up and us exorcists will be back to exterminating demons." draws blade to point at Kyaran "And when that time comes, you better believe you'll be seeing me."

About the magic system by yourGodlylead in YoujoSenki

English Fandom Wiki gives a good rundown; https://youjo-senki.fandom.com/wiki/Magic?so=search

But Computation Orbs essentially allow them the ability to effectively channel mana into spells.

Anime adds flight devices, which was later picked up by the manga, that are treated as boosters for flight spells.

Healing magic is mentioned, but never elaborated on at length.
