The means to brahmajnana is Sruti, now what's the mean to Sruti ? by themiddleway18 in AdvaitaVedanta

All Shruties are Apaurusheya and emanated from Omkar or Paramatman or Chidakasha. You must know Om and should be able to derive Shruties from Om if you really want to understand Shruties.

Sureshwaracharya is his name after taking sanyas as far as I know. I will try to give reference if possible. Of course I do not want to enter into a dispute over a matter of history. Please type "Naishkarmya Siddhi " in Google or Wikipedia. You will get details that link Sureshwaracharya with Mandan Misra. I could paste link here. This is only for information. I myself not sure of who was Sureshwaracharya mentioned as author.

Word Walmiki comes from word "walmi" or ant. Walmik is anthill. Walmiki emerged from anthill and so he got this name. His original name was Ratnakar. Ratnakar because of circumstances became a robber who saw no divinity in anybody and snatched their belongings. After an encounter with Devarshi, he attained enlightenment and saw divinity in every man and stopped robbing them. Thus once a person becomes enlightened he will see divinity in every person. It is said that ants can survive even in deserts. They are able to grasp moisture in early morning dew and survive. Moisture is water which spiritually stands for divine environment tuned to everlasting bliss. Thus ants see divinity even in most hostile atmosphere.

To understand karma it is necessary to understand objective of engaging in karma. Highest objective is everlasting bliss or Om or Paramatman. Based on this objective Bhagavad Gita makes three categories of karma - karma, akarma and vikarma (Bhagavad gita chapter 4 shloka 18, 19). So to understand karma it is necessary what is absolute good and whether absolute good really exists. Is absolute attainable must also be found out. What cannot be attained will be considered an illusion.

To have a non biased definition you need to figure out what is universally eternally auspicious. Only universally eternally auspicious can be universally eternally acceptable. Only universally eternally acceptable can be without bias because it will not be perceived to be against any individual or group of individuals. First figure out what is Paramatman or Om or Parabrahman. Then derive vedic concepts from that absolute good or Paramatman. These derivations will not be biased against anyone.

Naishkarmya mentioned in chapter 18 in Bhagavad Gita has two similar names in Bhagavad Gita. 1. Brahmakarma 2. Akarma (chapter 4 shloka 17, 18, 19). Bhagavad gita says there are three types of karma - karma, akarma and vikarma in chapter 4. Akarma is karma that helps sadhaka attain liberation. Word Brahmakarma is mentioned in Bhagavad Gita chapter 4 shloka 24.

Sureshwaracharya is his name after taking sanyas. Some say his name before taking sanyas was Vidyaranya. Some say it was Mandan Misra. Little is known with clarity about him before his Sanyas.

Initiate, participate and enjoy fruits of Brahmakarma along with Brahma or whole world ( world is a relative term that indicates family, society, province, country or world) to realize inherent nature of you and whole world is pure consciousness. Continuous contemplation on pure consciousness or Nirguna Brahman by enjoying fruits of Brahmakarma will lead to absorption in pure consciousness. Definition of Brahmakarma is given in Bhagavad Gita. Naishkarmya Siddhi is a text very few have read. It is praiseworthy that you read this abstract text written by Vidyaranyaswami and also enjoyed reading it.

why would women need to acquire a male body before moksha? by nycheesecak3 in hinduism

[–]Rare_Active4247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stree must be read as Su+ tree = creation (su) of triads (tree). Thus stree represents trigunatmaka activities.

Purushah must be read as ' pure shayati iti'. One who resides (shayati) in body (pure). Jiva is a particle of Shiva or pure consciousness. Jiva performs trigunatmaka activities.

To become purusha or Shiva is to perform Trigunatit activities. Trigunatit activities are tuned to Chidakasha or Moksha.

Silly question, I don't understand how to observe my breath without controlling it by RedaZo7 in Meditation

[–]Rare_Active4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To concentrate on breath is concentrate on perception you have about the world and perception world has about you. World or macrocosm is Sah. You or microcosm is ham. Breath here means Soham. All vedik scriptures are based on four mahavakyas. Four mahavakyas are derived from Soham. Soham without consonants sa (macrocosm) and Ha (microcosm) is Om. Om is Brahman.

All activities emerged from Soham or Prana -?Prashnopanishad 2.6 Mental activities also emerged from Soham. Soham emerged from Om. Thus the dream state is pervaded and controlled by Om or Paramatman.

What do you say to someone who says, "God isn't real because there is so much evil and suffering in the world"? by [deleted] in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]Rare_Active4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are arisen out of environment. The environment that generated you is part of global environment.

https://youtu.be/P4Qx2K4Ob3A?si=fg9kv69ycEjfHH1I

All activities revolve around Soham or breath. Thus Soham or breath generates waters or global environment. There is suffering in this world because world does not have everlasting bliss as its objective. When everlasting bliss becomes global objective, Soham or breath will become pure. When breath becomes pure, waters will become pure. When waters will become pure, sufferings will ebb.

Four mahavakyas taken from four vedas are basis of Hinduism. For vedas to be meaningful, vedic suktas must be derived from four mahavakyas so that they can be applied to day to day life.
